I feel like you're ignoring the learning component and the self improvement component. If done correctly your hit rate will increase over time. At least that has been my experience. In the beginning the failure rate was much higher - maybe 1 success out of 100 - but then you learn and get better. And now my failure rate is much lower. It's not just a numbers game. It's also a learning game.

Cold approach is foundational to any success anyone will have in dating. You need to be able to talk to strangers to meet new people who may someday be your gf or a hook up.
I feel this sub sufficiently emphasizes the need to level up one's appearance. We are constantly reminded to lose weight, improve our fashion, etc, and if a person does these things, there should be a positive result.
People like to emphasize cold approaching completely random people, ignoring that you can use the skills from cold approach in warmer approaches. Approaching people in your clubs or at your place of work as a more familiar face has a much higher hit rate, and the skills from the cold approach have made me a maverick at that. I've built an incredible female friend group that gave me a pipeline of possible romances.
All things worth having take hard work. A good body can take years to form. A good career can take 5 years of measured steps. A good woman can take years to find, too.

Fully agree, nothing has changed my success more than losing weight. It has been a night and day difference. I think in todays world to have a satisfying dating life, you have to have either good looks or high status. Yeah u can learn game and improve your chances even without looks or status but it’s an uphill battle. And even then, do you really want to fight for every women with meticulously planned game and stuff? These days I barely use game, i just try to act as normal as possible, let my intelligence shine through a bit and my looks do the rest.

What our generation is experiencing is shift in demand supply dynamics. Male to female ratio in every social setup is severely uneven. A dejected female (who is already not available for any relationship) gets so much attention from rest of the society that suddenly she becomes the most priced possession in her own head which in turn makes her even more unavailable. Modern day biased laws and twisted definition of feminism is not doing any good anyway.

I don't understand why people think like this, dating is simple it's not complicated rocket science, simply cold approaching is your LEAD generation, it generates an OPPORTUNITY for you to turn into a date, once on the date it's another OPPORTUNITY to build sexual attraction, the further dates are more OPPORTUNITIES to get laid or a girlfriend. Obviously each stage requires different set of skills to learn but cold approaching is the beginning stage. You aren't supposed to think you cold approach and boom girlfriend, no you go through multiple stages, steps and have to learn along the way AND self improving will dramatically dictate how fast you go from Date > Sex or Girlfriend.

Don't be lazy and it'll be worth it in the longrun, don't be negative.

One piece missing: Approaching is not seen as socially acceptable anymore.
Example: back in the early 2010s you could ask out most of the women in your friend list on Facebook with decent results, at worst you'd be turned down. Nowadays doing that is an instant block.
In my experience cold approaching on the street doesn't work anymore, women simply don't engage with you at all.
