Good question and by the lack of replies I think it's very tough to answer. Some people find it fascinating that I hunt and fish. I also think using sarcastic humor and giving people a bit of a hard time (always obviously jokingly) helps me stand out a little bit, especially when first meeting someone.

I hate to be that guy, but having interesting hobbies doesn't get you laid. It might help your confidence/inner game, but that's only a small part of the whole thing. I've gotten girls to come over after the most run of the mill conversations. The things that matter the most (like 75%) are being fun, non judgmental and non needy.

Also just picking up a hobby just because it might help you get laid seems really beta.

play piano and guitar (10+ years experience so definitely no noob), going to be a paramedic in a year and chicks dig the work field, speak three (almost four)languages, powerlift and can deadlift 500+ lbs. so not only do i look muscular/big but i have functional strength, play live concerts and gigs, am an excellent cook, and my bipolar disorder gives me the perfect amount of fucked up personality to be perceived as quirky even though im really suffering on the inside. Also plannin om becoming a firefighter after paramedic school/getting work experience so once i do that ill be the perfect guy for a lot of women. Also did MMA for 3 years and plan on getting back into it.

I gotta say, ive done a lot of shit that makes me impressive but in reality i only.did these things trying to find happiness and escape my crippling depression. which i havent

To add to this guys, these are all the hobbies that I love. But, if you want to make your life better like how I am doing, you really need to take time to find your favorite hobbies. I spent good two-three years on finding what I like. The first step is to try everything that interests you. For example, I tried ice skating to eventually play hockey; I also used to play goalie in soccer; and I also used to do east coast swing dancing. but I dropped them all for rock climb and music. Here are the reasons. For skating, not many people around me liked skating or hockey, so not much value. Also equipments for hockey costs. For soccer, I wasn't that good at goalie. I am short (5'6") but I really wanted to try, (I even took professional lesson for 3 months), but eventually it was over the commitment I was willing to put through, and it was so much frustration. For the swing dance, it was fun, but it takes some commitment and I didn't like it enough to go through that. However, I practice random types of dancing here and there which is what made me a dancing machine at the club. The reason I settled on rock climbing and music as a main hobby is that, my friends climb. climbing (boulderin) is like a short 5 minute video game, where you try to solve a problem with good techniques. As a gamer, it fit my personality well. Also, you can track your progress well with climbing which I like. It's really casual, too. Not as much pressure as other team games as it's about winning against yourself. For music, I just love music so much that no other activities can beat me on music. I stopped playing for 4 years during the undergraduate, but I was regretting every moment of that, so I had to start playing at graduate school. So my point is that take some time and actually try out stuff that interest you, and go through it until your patients/commitment runs out. And the reason you hate/like doesn't have to be super dramatic for you to be able to say "I will do this as a hobby for the rest of my life." So don't be scarred about trying different stuff!

Two words: Read. Everything.

Books, magazines, newspapers, blogs, scientific journals, (auto)biographies, anything you can get your hands on.

You will be so much more knowledgable about everything and there will be no conversational topic that you can't weigh in on.

Of course if you like dumb girls this probably won't help, because all they do is gossip or talk about shoes. But trust me, the smart ones are waaaay more fun and worth it.

I think what interests women can be split into 3 things- the basics, interests and achievements.

The basics are the same for everyone. Dress well, have good hygiene, and be confident with yourself.

For interests, it doesn't matter what they are, but you want to have more active/productive interests than sedentary ones. Girls aren't interested in guys who play video games all day.

Achievements are basically what you have done with your life. If you've worked hard and achieved a lot in your life you're going to be more interesting than someone who's just working some dead end job.

For me personally:

Interests: Tennis player, dancer, movie buff, politics

Achievements: go to a good university, various internships in my field (business), well travelled, financially stable

I guess the first thing is usually that when I go out I tend to not really give two shits and do my own thing, whether that be dancing in a goofy way on purpose or just having a really unusual opener. So it's just a really warped sense of humor, some people really enjoy it, others don't but that's fine with me. I'm very average looking so I guess being abnormal is my way of standing out.

In regular conversation I'm very calm and lax and have been told I have a soothing voice.

Then as far as hobbies go; I used to play college baseball, still love baseball, I sing and play harmonica, I've performed ventriloquism, I've acted in a movie, I play chess and I read a lot of non-fiction.

It's definitely a combo of a lot of things. Humor (I think of myself as the funniest person I know), I can be assertive when necessary (I don't ask questions if I want something, like "can we go here?" I say what I want to do), I play sports, and I know a lot of people, so if I'm at a friend's house, I can just ask how they know the host, and then go from there, where I feel like I can talk about anything. I also feel like I know how to have a good time, and I love to try new things, which go hand in hand. I also have a unique style, where I match all the time and where bright clothes. Those really help for conversation, and make you stick out above others who wear the same shirts as everyone else at the party

I have a really kick ass pit bull, he garnishes more attention than I do hands down. He's ridiculously good looking and friendly, sometimes to a fault. I worked my ass off to get him to be so well behaved, socialized and well trained but he's my best friend and has given me countless easy openers with pretty ladies.

But aside from that, I'm really passionate about cooking particularly BBQ. I didn't think food could create a social circle, but I have a group of regulars who come by on weekends to have BBQ. To get real pulled pork, it takes about 12 hours of smoking meat and that is an all day affair. It's great, though. People bring their speciality sides, favorite craft beers and expensive liquors and we all smoke and joke for a few hours and then stuff our faces. It's a grand ol time.

I know most of the best local breweries, restaurants and bars and have some that I frequent. It looks really cool when you can walk into a place with a girl, waiters/bartenders know you can what's up and hook you up with some free shit or good seating. It pays to tip well if you're a regular. I can call in and reserve pool tables even tho you're not really supposed to. I love shit like that, insider people are the Dopeness.

I'm really passionate about exercising and running with my dog, weight lifting and studying how to perfect form. That's good knowledge to have, I like knowing what body parts and muscles are.

I have a disciplined diet and know how to prepare a lot of veggies and healthy stuff, which most dudes my age don't know about. Cooking is the shit, chicks dig it, too. Keto is what I'm doing now.

I'm really good at moving conversations forward. There's almost never a silent pause around me, I will always push the discussion or change the topic to keep things light and fluid. I think people who are more prone to being quiet an enjoy listening more appreciate it. I try to include everyone and always be entertaining.

I have a good taste in clothing, something a lot of men my age aren't into. I love MFA, they changed my life.

I have a huge crazy music collection from Chance the Rapper to Frank Zappa, I can listen to pretty much anything except country music, sorry. I can find something in my plays lot you'll enjoy, promise.
