Deliberately malicious behavior over an extended period of time despite repeated requests to stop, is a red flag no matter how seemingly petty or trivial the behavior its self is.

No matter how nice they are most of the time, it shows there’s hidden resentment/anger in them for you.

I personally don’t think you can really love someone and feel that kind of anger at them that you enjoy upsetting them. I mean we all troll our loved ones from time to time, sure. But you don’t keep doing something that really bothers them after they sincerely ask you to stop. If you really love someone, seeing them in distress HURTS you.

If it doesn’t, then you don’t really love them. Period.

So yes, vet for any kind of spiteful petty behavior like this that doesn’t stop after you seriously ask them to.

My fiancé takes 10 min every night on the patio (even in -20 Celsius) to fart in peace.

But...I...as an anally retentive woman, who still struggles to fart in the day, fall asleep next to him swiftly and proceed to fart the night through.

Thankfully, mine are not smelly, but they sure are loud. And I've woken us both up before.

I think the issue here is he isn't even TRYING. Like, he knows it bothers her, and clearly he has a farting schedule. So can't he open a window, or take 10min in another room, just to respect her? That much he can, and should control.

I know its ridiculous but I hate going to sleep sniffing farty air.

What world am I in? Did I transfer to another dimension? Why is it ridiculous? It is perfectly fucking normal to not want to smell someone else's farts.

Come on, so sooooo many of us women clench hard to not be farting in public let alone on dates/around our partner. Its so disgusting and disrespectful especially when its on purpose or when someone specifically asks you to not be farting. I understand people have medical conditions or sometimes it can slip out but its important to realize that if hes farting a lot like this is disrespectful

Before FDS, if I was in her place, I wouldn't think it was enough of a reason to break up. Not anymore. Thanks to FDS, if that happened to me I'd have a moment of clarity and think "life is too short to have to deal with this shit", and I'd break up.

Edit: Yes everyone farts, but if your partner repeatedly asks you to do it somewhere else, every night, because they smell really bad, it's not a big deal to get up and go somewhere else. He is doing this on a schedule. Surely he can feel them coming.

I understand accidents and them not being as big of a deal if they don't smell, but this isn't the case.

I wouldn’t purposely pass gas in front of an SO and would want him to think the same way. Same thing with going to the bathroom in front of each other. Never gonna happen. Some things are private.

This is such gross behaviour. His diet sucks and he's clearly not done potty training because he likely needs to have a movement and probably can't tell. Being self-unaware is really unattractive.

There they are killing everything in a relationship. And after you hear these men complaining that their wives don’t want to sleep with them. Who wants to sleep with a guy that leaves the room smelling like garbage? So this guy no just smell like garbage but also he is actually a garbage by doing this on purpose.

I'd like to offer a solution to this. Get yourself a vornado fan. That thing will blow the Fart away very quickly. Set it up right next to your bed in his direction and crank it every night before bed. Once the Fart is gone, then go ahead and turn it off.

How do people fart anywhere outside of the bathroom? I never have to fart really during the day or in bed (sometimes one might slip out while I’m on my period, but that’s rare). These people should talk to their doctor about why they need to fart so much?
