If someone has some fame I'd say they are less in touch with what real women are like, but generally we're all real, with different wants and desires? I'm confused.

The people that make it big on social media or at least have some following, tend to be outliers. How many people have Instagram? Now how many of them are successful enough to have people actually know who they are?

For every super hot person online, there are at least 100 normal looking people posting pics of their pets and some family outings. Not to say that those influencer type women aren't real women. Their online persona might be made up, but they still probably look really good irl and have put time and effort to look like that. However, they're a relatively small percentage of the population and shouldn't really be seen as ''the standard''.

The thing is there are plenty of real people on here, but there is also a large group of folks who could be described as chronically online.

The people chronically online, well are always online so your chance of interacting with this group of people is much higher than finding yourself with some one who periodically browses reddit and rarely bothers to reply. So the women in question here probably arent a real women but they could be!

Sorry but the dudes on Reddit have a rep for being fedora wearing weirdos as is. Who have been proven consistently wrong when it comes to judging mainstream consensus. If Redditors were to be believed, Bernie Sanders would have just left office and Henry Cavill would be the most profitable movie star of all time. The issue with the internet, not necessarily women on the internet, is that there is no proof beyond their word. Anonymity is a double-edged sword in that regard, because it's hard to believe what one says, unless it appeals to personal bias.

I can tell you right now that secretly I'm a stock trader making six figures and have drug-fueled sex orgies with colleagues and other big money players, fucking whores and sluts of all colors. The only reason I'm here is to pass some time to allow myself to mellow out after the cocaine high.

And I could 100% be telling the truth...or lying out my teeth. You'd have no evidence either way. Same idea with others here.

Millen(n)ials have made up so many new terms in the past 20 years it's enough to make the stomach turn upside-down. Everywhere you go you hear "respect my pronouns" and a slur of other newly made snide terms that are meaningless to me. A real person is just that. Real. I have a hard time believing I even am related in any way to people that can't figure that out. If you make it up, it is not real. If you do, then it is fake. Why is this so hard?

But does it even matter, since this generation is obviously disregarding most everything the previous century had worked so hard for and will very likely end up in a state where it will have to "push the button" sometime this century. This of course, will be after the last of us pre-century generations are gone. Then after that, you will finally see what is real and what is not. (Unless of course you fled in one of those shelters or spaceships where you will live a cozy 16 months before realizing that no other people = no more comfort).

Women on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat are more or less representative of the average woman.

But women on less main-stream, forum/thread-based, anonymous websites like Reddit and especially 4chan are not at all representative of the average woman. They're nerdier, more antisocial, less physically attractive, more politically and ideologically possessed, more mentally ill (or "neurodivergent"), and have more masculine/tomboyish hobbies and interests--compared to the average woman.

Many of these apply to men as well, but the disparity between women on forums and the average woman is much more pronounced. This is because, for primarily evo-psych reasons, women are more preoccupied with social conformity. So for a woman to be attracted to niche, non-conformist, potentially socially damaging sites like Reddit and 4chan, her personality has to have a more pronounced deviation from the norm, compared to her male counterpart.

I have seen a lot of dudes on this sub link a TikTok or tweet from a woman as evidence that AWALT. I’m going to roll my eyes at that. Like if you made a broad sweeping generalization and back it up with one social media post it’s not the mic drop moment you think it is. I think demographically Reddit users might be a little niche. It seems like there are a lot of gen z dudes on this sub but the female posters skew older. I go to school with a whole bunch of 23-25 year olds right now and as far as I can tell non of the women are on Reddit. Like they look at me blankly if I mention Reddit and then ask me if I want to be on their B Real.

Compare the women you see on IG with the millions of followers and ones you see on TV to the women you see every day in real life and the difference is immediately apparent. I wouldn't say that the latter category are "real women" and the former are not, but there is somewhat of a dichotomy.
