“Nice” in the sense of being a kind person and super respectful, not an ass kisser. And “like” in the sense of genuine desire. This type of behavior only works long term if the guy has his shit together, or has some sort of status. This does not work for more financially average guys.

The average guys need to have some asshole tendencies to retain a woman for a LTR or even consistent casual sex. I already know the “bUt nOt aLl pEoPle” mob is coming, but it’s simply true generally.

I’ve lost count of how many (average) men have told me they treated a girl the “right way” as taught by their mothers, sisters, and women friends, only to be ghosted or played consistently. Meanwhile guys in the same socioeconomic class or perceived status who have bad boy tendencies have much less issues pulling women. It becomes even more reaffirming once you go on any social media for long enough.

Sure there aren’t hard stats to prove this, but it’s relatively safe imo to infer that guys with average status and finances who are “nice” get walked all over, while average “bad boys” and above average guys who are “nice” are celebrated. Dudes who are bad boys and above average own the dating market, but this isn’t about them.

This isn’t necessarily the notion of alpha fucks, beta bucks. Rather that women will gladly take a “nice guy” under the conditions that he can provide with no issues. So next time you hear a woman say that a lot of women want a nice guy, they mean the ones who are well above average.
