I was watching a video starring Rollo earlier today where he argued that the peak SMV of a woman is around 22-23. Whereas the peak SMV of a man is around 37-38.

Granted, Rollo stated that the male SMV peak has to do with the fact that the guy was most likely in a stable job. But even with this in mind, there was something about the video which irked me.

Obviously, one of the key factors which (older) women look for is the ability to provide, and this is via financial resources. However, (older) women also look for the ability to protect, and this is via brute strength.

Past the age of 40, most men experience severe physical decline, and aren't able to physically compete with who they were at age 30 or even 35.

Most men past the age of 40 also start suffering from a decline in testosterone, and this reduces their drive in career goals and wanting to have sex. They also get more tired, and gain more weight, and this further erodes their desirability in the dating market.

Anyone who states that testosterone issues can be fixed via bloodwork and TRT is basically like a woman who thinks that her youth can be regained via botox injections and plastic surgery.

I think it's vanity (mixed with an unhealthy amount of narcissism) to suggest that men age like wine, because I don't see many middle aged men going out with 20-something year old women. Sure, Leonardo DiCaprio still goes out with 22 year olds, but he mainly gets with "temps" (who don't want to settle down and build a family / legacy with him) and he looks like hot trash nowadays anyway. And those "temps" mainly use him for his fame - fame that most men of Leonardo DiCaprio's age don't have.

I think there's some serious cope being thrown around in the "manosphere". Most men who are above the age of 40 look like trash, and most likely will be single if they experienced a breakup.

Most 40 year old women however would still be able to get pipe if they wanted to.

I personally think that the idea of men aging like wine is BS. 40 year old men aren't as strong as 30 year old men. And 40 year old men aren't also as likely to be hired in comparison to a 30 year old man in what's becoming an increasingly ageist job market. So there goes the idea of men being able to use their "protector" and "provider" trump card (which will mostly attract gold-diggers anyway).

My point is that men don't age like wine, and instead have it way worse than equivalent aged women in many respects.

Besides, how many 20-something year old women are going to want to build a family with a guy who will be in his 50s, who will most likely never see the day when his kids graduate, and who will most likely be dead before she even hits 40?
