Have you ever seen an all around "low-quality" man in a relationship? If so, why do you think she is with him?

Tbh I don't think I've ever met a man or a woman with all of these qualities. It's quite a combo and it isn't that statistically likely. There are enough average men and women who do date though. Like people who you wouldn't take a second look of.

I know a guy who is very...quiet, on a shorter side and below average looking. He also earns significantly less than his wife does and he's less educated. They've been married for some time and have a kid. She's overweight, but I'd say she's more attractive. She just was in a hurry to get married and have a kid. They do seem to enjoy each other's company though and she says he's more talkative with her.

A friend of mine is married to the first man she ever dated. Met him when she was 18 and he was 24. He was jobless, moved in with us after we moved out of our dorm and they’d only been dating three months. Had her and her mom paying bills. Had two kids that he never saw. Was scrawny, pimply and generally unattractive.

He proposed with a ring that he TOLD her wasn’t paid off yet. The ring was maybe three figures and point something of a karat. They had a justice of the peace wedding while she was pregnant with their two twin boys.

He spent years cheating on her, in a house SHE BOUGHT, with women that were less pretty and much less thin than she is. He still hasn’t been able to hold down a full time job. At his big age of almost 40 his ideal job is a twitch streamer. The last job he got was because she got it for him through one of her coworkers.

She’s still with him because he caught her when she was young and now she “can’t imagine adult life without him”. And this one relationship is horrible enough that it made me against all age gap relationships where the younger partner is so much more immature than the older partner.

She was stupid and young and he benefitted off of it. Now he’s living rent free, spending her money to cheat because she’s too “used to this life” to get a divorce…

I'm probably a low quality man I'm assuming that I have a girlfriend. I'm autistic and I'm not rich or high status so I'm not sure why she is with me other than I guess she just doesn't go for those things.

IME, the early stages of dating a higher quality guy may feel like a job interview; while the lower quality guy may immediately treat me like his addiction. Narcissistic and unhealthy as it is (love-bombing), it takes an extreme level of self-discipline as a single person on the dating scene to keep auditioning when you're already the star of someone else's show (especially if he's hotter).

It's definitely an idiotic practice, but there's your explanation. The way you make a woman feel is often more impactful than quality, ratings, even compatibility sometimes.

So, definitions matter.

“Undesirable” is a broad term.

When it comes to physical aspects (balding, short, chubby, etc.) I’ve seen a fair amount of dudes meet women, get married, have family and be happy. It’s honestly not that uncommon. Only perpetually online people think ugly people don’t ever meet anyone.

When it comes to social undesirables, that’s a whole other story.

Men who socially awkward or inept tend to do poorly. Poor men don’t do well either. Men with little to no education also don’t do very well. Poor hygiene (this is a big one, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dude with poor hygiene with a girlfriend…).

Of course, these men can improve their odds… but they choose not to…

Not with someone who was higher quality than he was. I think a low quality guy can find a relationship, but the problem is she has to be lower quality than he is, or at worst equal; and the further away she is from the wall, then the less likely that being "equal" to her will be enough.

The order of women's preferences as they march past the wall is the best men > superior men > equal men > being single - with most women landing a man who is superior to them.

Well, because you have never seen a man who has all those traits to begin with. Other than that, yes, i have seen men who were rock bottom with women who were also rock bottom. People end up in relationships with people who are within their league. There is no way around it.

I can only think of one. A guy I knew from high school who is now obese (not a bad guy from what I remember, but not remarkable either), and married to a gorgeous woman. They are both Christian so I guess their strong faith keeps them together.

And to be honest, no one wants a complete package.

That being said, too many people are walking around with too many struggles they have the ability to fix.

People should have a couple of weak points.

But you have men and women with 5 or 6 big weak points. And all the audacity and entitlement in the world for others to just accept them.

I had been seen countless times with female friends before, went shopping with them and such and there was always a person at the store or somethign that would say something like "How can I help you lovebirds" or "So what can I do for the happy couple"? Evem been told by a coworker once "dude, I saw you with this really hot chick, how did you do that" but little did he knew she was just a friend, not by my choice.

People always assume this shit just to push their narrative but they have no idea what is going on behind the curtains. And to answer your questions/

A) I had seen it extremely rare, but they would be with their exact looksmatch, just as unattractive and awkward as them, never seen an unattractive man with a woman beyond their level.

B) In case of one of my oldest mates, she settled with him cause her time was almost up. She is 28, he is 32 and she figured out that she cannot get the man she wanted so she got my friend. They met, moved in together, married and even got a kid all in the span of 1 year!!! Shows how desperate both of them were.

I don't think I've met a man who's the way you describe in general. It'd be quite exceptional to have no redeeming qualities, really. Ordinary people have some good traits and some bad ones, which serves as a get-out clause for anyone trying to say certain groups are doomed in dating - of they get a date, there's always at least one stereotypically good quality to pick and say it's all due to that.

Yes, plenty actually. Because the woman is "low-quality" herself. She might be overweight, or unintelligent. I think it was a lot more common amongst boomers for low-value men to get in relationships. Today it's nearly impossible for a low-value man to get into a relationship, even with a low-value woman.

I used to work with a guy so intolerable that a complete stranger saw him driving like such an asshole that he followed him home and tyre ironed him on his front lawn and everyone sympathised with the insane attacker. He was hated at work. He had the worst personality. He was absolutely horrible to be around but anyone he thought he had power over he would bully. Wife and 3 kids. He met someone who loved him because women are humans and humans are insane and if nothing else the guy was OUT THERE, making us hate him, and making a woman fall in love with him.

every single time when a dude that seemed "inferior" based on looks had a girlfriend that some might say is out of his league, the guy made up with other usually quite exceptional attributes that women care about. usually when a "ugly" guy has a girlfriend he is making up for that with other traits he has and is vastly superior in those compared to the other guys the girl could be with.
