I think the mods do an overall good job at making sure super incel-y and woe-is-me types of threads get taken care of. Whether this place is balanced...eeeeeh, it's way more balanced than any of the other pill subs but it's still mostly ''here's why women are bad/fucking up the world'', with a few sprinklings of ''men bad'' every now and then.

Is a fruitful discussion possible? Sure, with specific people on specific subjects.

I'm here for entertainment. Sometimes I just take breaks if I find myself getting bored or annoyed. I will probably quit coming here at some point when I have way less free time so I can spend it on things that actually matter in my life. This is good ''I have dinner in the oven and I'm waiting for the laundry to finish, and I don't feel like doing anything else for half an hour'' entertainment.

It's more entertaining than enlightening, which is sort of a waste. I've heard that there used to be places for the more emotional woman-hating types, this sub used to be more constructive but I don't know if that's true.

Do you think PPD is successful in keeping it balance?

Mods could definitely do better with balance. I see so many OPs that should be taken down simply because there's no use to them except trash/vent.

What keeps you here? Or are you thinking about quitting?

I did stop for a long time but now I'm ignoring the more abusive or unproductive posts/posters. It seems to be working.

Possible, yes. But it rarely happens.

Some of the topics, those rare cases of interesting conversations. There are people on this sub who live a very different kind of life than I do.

Or are you thinking about quitting?

More and more every day. I probably will leave once things in my life start improving.

I think it’s a good space to discuss the wildly different dynamics between people. Men who have no female friends or little experience with dating seem to regard women as accessories who want to play house and raise babies.

They forget that he brings 18+ years of his upbringing, his family and cultural mores, his religion, his experience in his social group with him, and so does she. Many of the posts from men here can be reduced to “Why don’t women do what we want”, which is a child’s POV.

The answer is people don’t do what you want. After initial mutual attraction is established comes a lifetime of compromise and cooperation and daily-to-hourly adjustments to one another’s lives, goals, and desires.

No it's not a good place because a lot of the people I debate against are in their ways and parrot manosphere crap. Only in PPD can you be like "I like this thing" and a man will be like "No no you don't". It's wild. Or you don't actually like this because (some copy pasted statistic and women don't actually) I'm like whoa.. so it's a good way to pushback against a lot of the crap or explain things better.

It's entertaining though. And it gives me something to watch out for in the instance I do date because you get to read misogynistic thoughts and the mindset of a lot of these men. And know to avoid...that.

Like I feel for a lot of these guys dating sucks. I'm jaded as well as others. But it's not entirely one genders fault. And it's not a hopeless pit of despair and misery. I can only control my behavior and inventory what I do and responsible for what I do and my own happiness and fulfillment. They put way too much importance on sex and relationships like the end all beat all instant happy thing. Lol but it's not.

It's one of the better subs for women, I'll give you that. I don't get massively downvoted or banned for sharing my 'blue pill' opinions here.

I'd get banned simply for disagreeing on red pill-esque subs, so at least this sub welcomes debate and ideas from both sides.

Fruitful discussion is difficult here because the majority of male posters don’t understand dating, women, or even other people for that matter.

I recognize a lot of the posts and thoughts here are from nice guys, people who performed niceness in hopes of getting romantic attention only to conclude, ABOVE ALL ELSE, that women must not like nice men. Being fake friendly and fake nice isn’t attractive in any gender, yet that’s every guy’s first and only “plan” to get women. They’ve all ended up here, crying that women don’t like good people when they’ve never once been a good person, only a poorly manipulative one.

I post here with the hope that my comments can reach the right people and better their lives.

Any kind of pill will not be able to make you keep balance in your personal life in my opinion. At the end of the day, it's just about realizing that both men and women can be equally shtty and no one owes you a single dmn. Therefore in 99 percent of the cases, people won't act as you want. They'll judge you on your flaws when you don't wanna be judged, they'll cheat on you when you had specifically stated them to be loyal in the beginning of the relationship, they'll manipulate you in ways, so that you end up questioning your whole existent set of ideologies and enter into deep existential crisis(I'm exaggerating of course). Cuz to some broken people it's easy and fun to manipulate people or provide sky high standards when they do not make any efforts to understand the other side. Again why? Cuz at the end, most human beings are selfish creatures. They don't truly love each other, they love the validation they get from each other, so essentially they love themselves. Now when you want validation from a certain group of people and start sharing their ideologies, you need to be opposed to another group of people and their ideologies. In most cases, you take up the ideologies of the group you can personally relate to the most(through life experiences). That again is selfish. So true idealistic, unbiased opinion can never be achieved, since there'll always be opposing arguments no matter how much your perception and opinion on a certain matter seems more logical than their's(Remember, even today there are people who argue that the earth is flat and space programs are a simulation made by governments to fool us). Objective truth doesn't exist. My personal advice, will be to hate all people equally and to be aware of all humans irrespective of gender/race/caste/color etc. Life is an illusion anyways.

No. I mean, balance is not the issue, there's plenty of people of both genders of different viewpoints. But there is some crazy polarization going on where people heavily see each other as ingroup-outgroup and prejudge based on that, where everyone takes opposite reactionary positions, topics are recycled, and hardly anyone changes opinions or learns. It's more of an entertaining shitshow.

I removed the sub from my feed bc I was starting to engage with it in a bit of a toxic way and now I only come every once in a while and don't open it daily anymore. I think it starts warping your brain when you consume this content daily lol. I start thinking too much about it in daily life and applying it to situations where I don't think it's healthy to apply.

Idk why I'm still here. I always enjoyed debating. I enjoy reading different perspectives, even extremist ones, in general when it comes to ideology or politics. And I'm hoping I might share something that might resonate with someone who's on the fence and prevent them from falling down the rabbit hole, though I'll probably never know if it happens.
