Another funny anecdote from once we were back at my place:

We watched an episode of Workaholics (you know, the one where they campout in the office and do mushies). Afterwards she said she had to go, so I went in for a kiss. It was weak as shit, she didn't stop me, but she didn't go in either. Afterwards I pause for a second and say, "wow that was a weak kiss".

"Well I didn't really want you to kiss me"

Your reply wasn't the best because you put it back in her court. A few approaches here, depending on the situation and your personality. I have used all of these to success at some point. All of these require appropriate body language to go with them. I bolded my personal favorites that I use regularly. All of the imply a subtle reward to them, because they're the ones bringing up sex first. If they talk about it, they're thinking about fucking you, and you can turn that into a positive.

reply like you suspect them of trying to fuck you. "That's a bit presumptuous isn't it?" "Wow, you just get straight to the point dont you? I like that." "You're going to have to wait, I'm not that easy." (a bit scandalized and a bit indifferent, look away and slight shift of disinterest body language, like they turned you off a little bit)
Straight out confirmation. "Yep." "How can I not be? You're amazing." (matter of factly, like how you'd tell someone you were going to the grocery store)
Alpha as fuck. "trying?" "neither of us is trying, we're waiting for the right moment" "when I want to fuck you, you'll know it." (turn straight toward them and make eye contact and give them your entire and full attention while you say it in the most suave James Bond way you can, then go back to how you were)

My interpretation: She was testing you. Personally, I think your response demonstrated a lack of confidence. Instead of saying your honest intentions, you asked what she wanted, and that you would do what she wanted to do. This is kinda like asking a girl what she wants to do on a date. You'll generally get a "I dunno" answer because a girl expects you as the man to be decisive.

Honestly, if I were in your shoes and were asked that question, my answer would have been something that was very confident. Like I'd grab her hand, lead her to the bedroom, and say "I guess you're gonna find out".
