Just wondering how does everyone feel about being cut off by your in-laws? How do you deal with the hurt? Without hearing my side of the story, the STBXW’s family has completely sided with her, and unceremoniously cut me off without so much as a “goodbye”. I was removed from their social media and kicked out of group chats. All this despite having spent nearly a decade cultivating relationships with them. Hosted dinners, participated in family events, helped them solve their problems. I guess none of it meant anything afterall, and that despite all our lofty, high minded claims about the value and sanctity of familial bonds, ultimately we are all alone.
