If my ex sent that message to me, I would only think “she must need my money more than she thought she would.” Reconciliation at this point would involve her actually admitting she was wrong ever. Not gonna happen. Hasn’t happened since about 2019 or so.

Guarantee someone said something that brought her down to reality. No you cannot get half my assets.

After being separated for a couple years and seeing what’s out there in my 40s, I have yet to meet a woman who owns a home or has any significant assets she didn’t get from a divorce. I would be so bold as to say MOST women do not have any significant assets. I have yet to meet one who’s bought any crypto, or made any other serious investments other than what she got from her ex. It’s depressing really being a successful person, as any relationship I get it will be totally one sided, or be w someone who has a bunch of stuff from their ex (really repulses me, so I don’t think I’d date anyone like this, really shrinks the dating pool at my age).

It is a curious thing that ex-wives seem to do. I have experienced the "let's move on" messages.

Tons of my friends have also had versions of this. It's just a strange thing that ex-wives seem to do after a few years they seem to have completely forgotten the pain they have caused and now "want to 'forgive' and 'move on'"

When I ask my women friends they are somewhat puzzled why "moving on" or "forgive" should be an issue. As a man I just kind of freeze a bit and just become confused

I mean OF COURSE a man does not "move on" from divorce. Why is that even a question? A man takes divorce very seriously and does not 'forgive' a woman who has gone against her marital vow.

Women who are married know their husbands very well. But there seems to be a blind spot with women in that they think their ability to spring to another man and act as if the ex-husband no longer exists is mirrored by men.

It seems the worst thing for a woman to have happen is for an ex-husband to disappear apparently. Ex Wives seem to want "some way" to keep tabs on their exes. So all of the "forgive" and "move on" messages to me are mostly so a woman can still have a man in her orbit in some way.

My ex filed for divorce in a very hasty and emotional charged decision (she thought I did something I didn't). She hasn't reached out since. Been 9 months and we never talked, met up, try to fix it, anything.
