Looksmaxxing while I hate the term would probably be the easiest way for below average or average men to gain access to relationships and if wanted casual sex.

The gym, clothes, haircut, cologne, and other things can take most average men to good looking even if it takes a long time or some money.

People act like prioritizing physical attraction is a cardinal sin. You SHOULD be physically attracted to the person you are going to be physically intimate with.

What people find attractive is going to vary? Some women want muscles and a cut gym physique. Some like those stupid mustaches that the firefighters have and a mullet. Some like cozy dad bod guys because they like the fluff.

But the key take away is you SHOULD be physically attracted to the person you may be potentially be intimate with? And to demand people to override what they find attractive physically is stupid or what they should be attracted to by your own perceived opinion of them is stupid. People will find what they find attractive and will date those people?

I think the looks obsession makes men forget about who they are as person and what that brings to a relationship or even hookup.

Looks change with age, stress, weight gain or loss, healthcare, all kinds of things.

Looks is like window shopping. You might see a really beautiful store window but not have money to buy, or a reason to wear that outfit, or simply in a rush to get elsewhere, or just not interested in buying.

A handsome face isn't enough to attract a woman. The man behind the face is what attracts women.

Trying to be objective with my own looks;

The cutoff age that women will match me in the US seems to be 28 (I'm 38). Now it could just be that women here have their filters set to cap at 10 years older and so that's why 27s very rarely like me. I did have a weird one-off 23 year old girl like me but the age gap was too much, we couldn't relate besides sex.

I tried matching/dating some women slightly older than me but they just look WAY older than me. They know it too, I look young for 38. So a 42 year old woman looks like my mom.

My female coworkers also agreed, they said I need to date a girl younger than me because women my age don't work out and just generally don't take care of themselves, they're going to just look older than me and it will be awkward.

Being attractive barely depends on your genetics.

Looksmaxxing works.

(Almost) Anyone can be 7/10 with enough work.

Personality is attractive because your personality will show through your looks.

It takes much more than "the Gym" to become attractive.
