Average guys get girlfriends towards the end of high school or at college/university. Most average guys experience a handful of hookups in their early 20s. Most guys end up with a long term relationship/ marriage in their late 20s. These guys aren't remarkable in any way theyre facially average with body types ranging from thin to chubby. Their careers are average.

This is what exists outside of the reddit echo chamber where its claimed average guys have it so tough.

Its just not true. Men have a very hard time judging their attractiveness level:

"They found that men’s ratings of self-perceived attractiveness were higher than women’s ratings" "According to the researchers, this is consistent with previous research showing that men tend to overestimate their own level of attractiveness while women don’t."

And this may explain partly why unattractive men seem to think they're average. Guys who struggle in dating aren't average. Whether it be a personality flaw or physical there is always something holding them back.

For example, a lot of passport bros you see are very facially unattractive and short. Yet they will claim women in the US are just picky. The problem is the 4/10 man going for 6/10 women then being upset when getting rejected.
