Sigh. Can I have a little rant of my own? You kind of triggered me.

I am SO FUCKING DONE with these self-entitled CUNTS of women who chose to behave this way. It's not even the worst case of this "all men are pedophiles" meme, I'm talking about the sense of entitlement in general, wanting you to leave, and all kinds other stupid little things these self-entitled women do as well.

I ride a ferry boat daily. I also smoke. This involves sitting outside in a tiny smoker's ghetto on the outer deck with all my smoking buddies. Now the only place to sit in said outside area are benches up against the windows where you inevitably block a bit of the view from inside the boat. No big deal, people are always sitting there, and there's not a big expectation of a view from those particular seats inside anyway.

So me and two dudes are out there smoking and shooting the shit one day, and outta nowhere this frail little old lady comes up and interrupts us ever so gently and politely, and kindly asks one of the guys sitting next to the window to move to somewhere else. Apparently where he was sitting was directly blocking her view from her seat inside, and she thought he should get out of her way. Of course being all meek and non-confrontational, after a millisecond of surprise he unquestioningly began to comply. I mean it did sound kinda dumb, but really, who's gonna argue with a little old lady, right?

Me.

I was already in a shit mood that day, I wasn't going to let this bullshit slide, even though the sheer bullshitness of it might not have been so obvious yet. Bring it the fuck on. I told my buddy to stay seated and proceeded to summarize the situation thusly: (Paraphrasing myself of course)

"Hold on miss... Did you just get up from that seat right there (pointing inside), walk all the way over to the door (a good 70 - 100 feet away), then walk all the way back down the deck to here, just to ask my friend to move so you can have a better view? Do you realize it would have taken one tenth of that effort to plunk your ass down in some other seat inside instead of coming all way out here? There's tons of room to sit! Lots of seats open with nobody sitting next to those windows! You can have a view from literally two rows forward! Or was it worth all that extra walk all the way out here just to tell us how much better than us you are? How bout on the way back to your special seat right there, just sit somewhere else."

She didn't know what to say, being probably too old to remember the last time someone called her out on her bullshit. She turned around in a dismissive huff and went back inside and sat down. In a different seat. I'd like to think she sat there and pondered on it for the rest of the trip. I'd like to think she learned something that day, I'd like to think this gave her some pause for some introspection. I'd like to think that she finally realized how she has a deeply ingrained toxic attitude if this is how she treats people, floating through life on some kind of self-entitlement auto-pilot where it makes more sense to bug someone to move out of your way when stepping around is obviously way easier.

Call it an over-reaction to some easy dumb request from some stupid old lady if you want, but I am proud of my defensive rebuttal. It was such a perfect little microcosm of society's battles right now - Men vs. women, young(ish) vs. old, smokers vs. non-smokers. And all it takes not to get tread on is to stand up to shit like this. I bet that old cunt will think twice next time she wants something stupid and unreasonable from somebody.

Had the same thing happen to me while waiting to pick up my niece from her class. Couldn't find a spot close to the entrance, had to park somewhat far from the door. No way in hell is she going to walk to my car or wait at the door for me to circle around the block. I park my car and walk down. Just waited by the entrance and got the same reaction from the mothers waiting for their daughters. Dirty looks, comments under their breath. Was sick of it. Get a grip ladies, not all men are bad.

It seems to me the problem is with the mall. If the room was supposed to be for breastfeeding it should have been labeled as a breastfeeding room. What often happens is that malls have a room that they call a "family room" and it is most often used by breastfeeding mothers.
