I can rationalize all of my personal preferences to some extent. I guess my most irrational is I wouldn’t ever want to date a firefighter because I think they all think they’re gods gift and making some huge heroic sacrifice to the world when most of the time they’re just eating chilli on the couch. It’s irational because I know this isn’t true, that there are some humble, self-deprecating firefighters out there. Doesn’t matter - not into it.

Another dealbreaker someone might find irrational is that I can’t stand when someone is really, really into their pet. Like they call them their baby. It instantly makes me think you’re probably pretty boring. Pets are fine as an accessory to your life, but not the purpose.

A man I was dating died on his motorcycle. A week later, both of my friends parents died on their motorcycle. Two months after that, my ex's new girlfriend died on her motorcycle. A few months later, a motorcycle was struck by a speeding SUV about 20 feet from where I was walking. The rider's screams haunted my nightmares for weeks, but I think he survived.

I will no longer date anyone who rides a motorcycle.

I think it's not totally irrational. Most people who ride motorcycles are totally fine. Still, I fear them after so many accidents in my general circle. I would worry too much.

Compared to my other deal breakers like being a drunk or a deadbeat dad, I guess it might seem silly.

I won't get romantically or sexually involved with someone who is trans.

It's legitimate to not want to date/marry one, because I eventually may want to have children (my own biological children).

But in this stage of my life where I'm mostly looking for short-term sexual relationships, I don't have any "biological" reason not to be interested in post-op trans women, I'm just not.

In spanish it is possible to speak in a way where you don't need to use a subject in the sentence, you can put all the information in the verb and the sentence makes perfect sence if you say it in context, even if in that context, the subject was never mentioned.

If a woman speaks of/about me in that way, if she can't be bothered to speak like I am a person instead of a thing that does something I am no longer interested in her.

I have formally decided to stop dating Mexican Scorpios. Or scorpios/mexicans in general. Big deal considering to many of my acquaintances and friends, this is my type. Too many terrible experiences. It's a shame cause I always have a lot of chemistry with these guys, but these relationships always end up making me cut my bangs with craft scissors in front of my bathroom mirror. I run whenever a guy says he's a Scorpio.

I'm almost done with Taurus men too, but my spirit guide is La Virgen de la Macarena, and she watches over bullfighters. Maybe it's my destiny to tame a Chad Taurus.

Frankly, it's hard for me to quantify my deal breakers because I'm very closed off. I don't really let people in my life enough to seriously consider them a dating option unless I choose them first. Then at that point my lizard brain puts up with any behavior as part of who they are.

Since vegetarian is taken, doesn't smoke weed, or somehow consumes cannabis. I don't care if she's just, "cool with it, and didn't mind an ex doing it..." not good enough. I just turned down meeting a pretty nurse over that.

There's things that are just so much fun and funny things to do together, it's a bonding experience in its own right. Eat some edibles and go grocery shopping, or on a plane, and tell me it can't be an adventure.
