As evidenced throughout society, women exhibit a strong preference towards dominant men. Observing our culture, most people will agree that CEOs, athletes and celebrities are clearly at the top of the social dominance hierarchy.

The vast majority of women that I know claim to want "equality" to men. However, these same women romantically prefer men who are demonstrably better (dominant) than them. There are plenty of available men who are truly their equal, in terms of social and financial status. These men, however, typically go unnoticed by the women claiming to want "equality".

This phenomenon has led me to believe that women do not actually want equality. The argument that I hear most often is that the sexual environment and the political / work environment are two separate things. I strongly disagree. It is my opinion that the sexual environment manifests the true desires of what all humans want at their very core, compared to any other existing environment (social or political). In other words, women exhibiting a preference for dominant men in the sexual market leads me to believe that women have a strong subconscious desire for dominant men in the social and political market as well. This would explain why women have gained more power in society, yet consistently rare themselves as less happy than they were prior to gaining this power.

Change my view.
