If women are indeed more valuable than men

Women are only more valuable than men in reproduction. One man can create 1000 babies in a year, but one woman can only create 1 baby (exception being twins/triplets). For a group to maintain strong population numbers, it must protect the women.

These days in modern society we don't have group survival risks and women aren't more valuable than men. Men are more valuable to society than women are which is why feminism needs to scream and shout and force equality of outcome measures to artificially raise women.

This was traditionally a male gender role because it is biologically impossible for men to undertake the female gender role.

So we have a situation where everybody wants the male gender role and nobody wants the female gender role.

Women are not more valuable or seen as such bc women's worth is actually directly correlated to their value in relation to a man. Women who are valuable to a man are sometimes more valuable than himself to him, but women who have no value to men, have no value at all.

Women's worth as humans, to men, is about their practical use and ability to be used for specific purposes.

Women have been shoved into the mother and wife role for around ~6000 years and any variance from or opposition to that has been met with being reminded how oh so important it is bc women make life or smth

Male gender roles have always been more flexible. There were always various roles men could take that were considered to give their lives equal value. On the other hand, women could only take one - those who failed to do so were not treated as having the same value of life. Most cultures saw zero value in the life of women who fell outside of the prescribed role, and many still do.

Women are valued because they can breed and provide men with sexual release. Other than that most men hold women in contempt and consider them inferior and dislike them intensely when they are not agreeable. So they are not more valuable and many men resent them for having any value at all.

It's actually the opposite, but feminism has eroded so much of our perception of what women were and are that actual femininity is frowned upon. Women are mothers, they teach and nurture the future generations, if you get rid of those roles, the state takes the place of the mother. The state raises the future generations. Total control of the population.

First of all, both of these points are untrue. Women are not innately more valuable, and women's roles are not less necessary. Both gender roles are important.

Only a fraction of men are needed to build roads and stuff, though. Even a significant portion of women can do that with modern backhoes and other equipment. It takes a whole village of women to nurture the sick and raise the babies, even with modern advents. It is very necessary that the sick and young receive 24/7 human care, despite advances. While men can do these tasks, men don't, even if their jobs are in a cushy office rather than in the field. Having a greater number of women working feminine roles is important to pick up the slack. Perhaps this is where you are getting the "women are more valuable" trope. Or, maybe the "women are more valuable" trope is coming from the fact that men really, really value looking at and having sex with women for its own sake while the reverse is obviously false. Perhaps it's a sexual market thing.

In the end, people's value is a very individual thing. I should not like to forget that in this whole debate about large groups that are full of differing people.

Most of women's "value" comes from men wanting them. If men didn't want women as much, they'd be less valuable, obviously, and would have to then prove their worth like men commonly are expected to (but in more traditionally feminine roles, like you mentioned).

I don't think it's correct to say that one gender role is "more important" than the other. Both are pretty important because they complement each other.

Feminism did away with traditional gender roles because women wanted to do the things that men did, because that was ironically the standard by which our "patriarchical" society was judging people for, and now society is struggling to find a balance between women forgoing their gender roles in an effort to prove that they can do what the men are doing, while trying to force men to not only stick to their traditional gender roles but also pick up the slack that women aren't able to handle from "trying to do it all," and then complaining that men are now less masculine/manly and less attractive as a result, and also unable or less willing to take up more feminine gender roles because men are as ill-suited to doing those things as women are ill-suited to working like men, and those feminine gender roles are more neutral in attractiveness when done by men.

Without straying too far from the topic, male gender roles built society, but that has little to do with physical attraction. Both sexes value physical attraction equally, not necessarily the gender roles though.

Women have inherent value, men only have value through what they do. A tomboy can have children just as easily as a princess type, but a man who doesn't produce/provide is worthless unless he's a gigachad, so women have somewhat more flexibility in their gender roles.

In most civilizations that practice infanticide (or in modern times, that make use of sex-selective abortions), female babies are the ones selectively deleted. Male babies are chosen to live more because traditional male gender roles are considered more valuable than traditional female gender roles.

Men of the manosphere often confuse their own desire for sex with what they actually value as important in society-- they regularly argue that women have inherent value because they themselves value sex with women's bodies, but they do not value women's roles at all, and frequently dismiss any contributions women make to society as altogether worthless. At best, they'll acknowledge that childbearing and childrearing are "necessary", but not that they are equal, respect-worthy contributions to society, or that any kind of feminine role deserves appreciation.

They say women are "inherently valuable" not because they value women as people or feminine gender roles, or because they see women as important contributors to society, but because they value getting their dicks wet... and also because they desperately want women to look up to them, validate their sense of superiority, and stroke their egos.

I don't think *normal* men think women are so worthless, but disrespect for female gender roles seems to be a common theme in the general manosphere.

Because the source of a woman's value is in her biology. She's valuable because of what she is (and what she has, i.e. a uterus), not what she does.

Men have to act in socially-desired ways in order to have value. Their actions are what produce the value.

This is precisely why men's actions are more controlled and policed, why gender norms on men have not unwound and why masculinity is so socially dependent (i.e. you can lose your "real manhood" in the eyes of society). A man's value is in his compliance with the gender role whereas a woman's value is inside her biology itself.

Hence why women are human beings, men are human doings.

I saw someone say this in MensLib but I guess when gender roles were first being established men got hit with the label of being someone who would today be like a selfless upstanding citizen. Someone who’s self sufficient, sacrifices themselves for others, is a hard worker, is resilient. They cited that example of that boy getting mauled by that dog when people were calling him a “real man”. Since the boy sacrificed himself for his sister, he gets slapped with the real man label, yet that’s not something that’s masculine or really exclusive to men. I have no problem with the boy, just the commenters.

But basically men’s gender roles are more valuable because they’re really seen as what a “good person” is rather than something a man does on a daily basis.
