A man who is okay with using prostitutes is a man who has no issue having sex with someone who doesn’t want to have sex with him. To him “consent” is simply the permission to use another person’s body to fulfill his sexual desires, which is why it can be bought. Prostitution is nothing but the commodification (and as a result the objectification) of the female body for sexual use at its most extreme.

What gets me angry is when first world country, white liberal feminist think that their sex workers, or the few sex workers that manage to make bank on porn hub, that too after putting up with abuse and sexual assault and possible STDs, is the same as the poor person of color women from my third-floor country who will be raped and possibly murdered in her lifetime for doing sex work.

I remember there was an article from vice, the same publication that accused the sub Reddit of being a shit hole even though the publication has plenty of sexual assault allegations against it, Talking about how sex tourism isn’t just for straight white men, but for queer people too!

I almost threw up in my mouth. The idea of queer privileged foreigners (because I’ve noticed that white liberals will do anything to avoid their privilege, and this is coming from a gay person) coming to my third world country to rape women and also claim they’re a protected class is DISGUSTING!

Not all sex work is created equal! The woman recording herself in the comfort of her only fans is NOT the same as the woman who is one of 12 children, living on a poverty wage, walking twelve kilometers for water, who hasn’t even HEARD of birth control!

Even Onlyfans isn’t that safe considering how employers can trace you back to the scam site! I believe that sex workers and women should be protected, but we need to stop protecting that the pimp sites like porn hub and other bullshit sites are safe. They are predatory and dangerous and sex work is not a fun easy gig.

I wish this could be printed out poster size and posted at every high school. I used to lurk on a sub with mostly very young women who thought themselves ugly, unlovable and convinced that only 'Stacy' is treated with humanity.

That's partially true but their solution? Was to get an Only Fans the minute they were 18. It was really disturbing to read how many of them thought OF was some sort of ticket to a better life.

Consent doesn’t exist in prostitution.

IDK why it’s so hard for people to understand. The financial element of prostitution works as a force or a coercion against the woman to have sex. That is not a consensual act!

Sex without enthusiastic, informed consent is rape, no if’s and buts about it.

What the libfem movement fails to understand is that the title of “sex work” is only for the privileged few. For most women across the world (women in poor countries, women of colour), selling their bodies for money is a product of poverty, desperation, a way to put food on the table. And 9 out of ten times, women end up in Prostitution due to being trafficked or tricked into sexual slavery. This is due to the shame and taboo associated with sexual violence and assault. These women are forced into these positions via fear, shame, intimidation, violence. So no “sex work” is not work. It’s exploitation just like child labour was exploitation.

Maybe in an absolutely perfect world where women always have a decent option apart from porn (not 'homeless shelter' option) there would be a small amount of women who actively get off on the dynamic of being paid for sex. In that case it seems like there would be enthusiastic consent that is freely given. Thing is we don't live in that world, the overwhelming amount of sex workers and prostitutes are doing it out of necessity, and the men soliciting these services as a whole do not give a rat's ass about anything beyond "she said yes". Even if there are signs of coercion and trafficking most just get on with it. It's fundamentally broken and will probably never be fair to women as the demand will ALWAYS be higher than women will freely consent to.

To the defenders of sex work - it is primarily used for the function of making men ejaculate. How can the shred of "positives" that come out of sex work be WORTH the abuse, the objectification, the rape, the trafficking, and murder of women of the majority of the cases? How can ALLLLL of that be worth it for the one male physiological function of male ejaculation? It's just sad that an entire dangerous institution exists and persists for that one male physiological function.

In theory, I have no issue with people buying sex from a willing person. In reality, Ive just started reading article upon article of people being trafficked and coerced. Even more disturbing is people selling their underage children to perverted adults.

I read an article a few months back about European women traveling to Jamaica for “sex tourism” and some of the male prostitutes were interviewed. They admitted they hated having sex with women 3 or 4 times their age and performing degrading acts but they needed the money. The women, just like scrotes tried to justify it was an even exchange and denied they were taking advantage of people because they “cared” about the men 🤦🏽‍♀️.

In conclusion, the world is a cold place with some decent people sprinkled in it.
