Fantastic post over on popular womens' subreddit. But OP's edits demonstrate clearly why the FDS subreddit and its mods are so precious.

That’s why I left one of the popular “women’s” subreddit. It was supposed to be dedicated to women’s issues but men would always interject, usually to bash or provide their “male” opinion.

I posted on the subreddit sharing my sexual assault experience and about half of the comments were men saying “That sucks but I would never do that! I’m a nice guy” or “It’s has to be your fault, you’re looking for sympathy”.

So thank you FDS for being a true safe space.

Eh, the other "female" issues sub has a post every week telling women not to post eddits to apologize to men.

Those posts are popular and receive awards that go straight into the pocket of the woman hating reddit corporation.

The posts that tell men to just STFU and GTFOH are deleted, removed, obliterated and so on.

FDS is the ONLY space for women online.

It’s been interesting watching the subs movements over the last couple years. All of the subs that are open to everyone had a moment where men tried to railroad over everything and they’ve slowly started swinging back as women push back on having their experiences dictated to them, and women aren’t willing to stay silent about it anymore when they’re bullied about it

Case in point, the hair salon I’m in has an automatic lock, you can only be let in if you have an appointment. Why? Because homeless men regularly try to break in to harass women.

Until a hair salon (womens spaces) no longer need locked doors and bullet proof glass “good men” can kindly shut the fuck up about how they are “one of the good ones” I don’t give a shit, it doesn’t change the fact that women live in fear of the bad ones.

You earn my trust, you are not entitled to it.

I swear, the other women's subs sound more and more like FDS every day, despite how much Reddit as a whole likes to say we're toxic. Hell, they might even become women's subs in truth some day! I have to wonder what the male mods over there are thinking, and if they take down any of these posts.

Men who talk like this act like there’s no analogous situation for women.

I’m a white woman, people talk about their fear of white women in spaces I participate in. Does it feel great? No. Do I recognize exactly why people don’t feel safe around white women? Absolutely.

When people talk about their anger towards white women, I just leave them alone. Idk why men can’t do the same.

The next time I hear a man say he's afraid to ride horses because they're scary, I'm going to say "now you know women feel". Funny thing is, horses are very sensitive to energies so if you're anxious or scared, they will be too. They react to what you're reacting to. I just came across a popular sub that says it is for "open discussions in dating and sexuality from all genders" but what I saw was most of the popular posts were like "women do this and this while dating and that's why they suffer" and "men are like this and women are like this"

Basically every second post criticizing them for the choices they make. Standard shaming and all. Even thinking of that makes me cringe.
