Bernie Bowen-Thompson of Safer Wales says prison has a disproportionate effect on women compared to men

Which one is it, men are the same as women or there is a difference?

[–]Sarin_G_Series 143 points144 points145 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Neither; it's "you're wrong unless you're apologizing, and even then, you are doing it for the wrong reasons."

[–][deleted] 145 points146 points147 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Never apologize to a feminist. She'll promise you forgiveness but your apology will be used to empower her position and further discredit you behind your back.

There was a good post about it on this sub about a month back

[–]Tardigrade1987 15 points16 points17 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Totally agree! My sister is a mad feminist but everything that applies to her doesn’t apply to me apparently. I’m AFAB but a practicing male and I have had so much of her feminist bullshit pushed onto me. Just coz I disagree with her opinion I’m a fucking rapist lol it’s double standard to say the least 👎🏼

[–]Mallago 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminists seem to have a very similar psychological profile to psychopaths...hmm...

[–]TheGemScout 28 points29 points30 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Which is also what lawyers do.

[–]Shippoyasha 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's almost like the gender angle is entirely a power play

[–]rooolng 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same reasoning with 'never negotiate with terrorists'

[–]AloysiusC 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I don't think I've ever seen a feminist offer let alone promise anything resembling forgiveness. Never mind that the "sins" weren't even men's in the first place.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You haven't followed #MeToo very closely then. There are a lot of examples where someone has been falsely accused at work and the man has been asked to apologize etc.

[–]AloysiusC 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your comment isn't contradicting mine in the least.

[–]bakedpotato486 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Demanding an apology doesn't imply an offer or promise of anything in return. It's more like sadism.

[–]OldSchoolNewRules 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Aha so you admit it!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

something something vague insult at white people.

"They wanted to give me a sick note but I carried on working through cold turkey. I said if I need to pay my price, I will and I'll move on with my life."
I guess all those stories about heroin withdrawal are a lie. You can just go to work while kicking dope, no probs.
I have now come to doubt the accuracy of this news agency.

[–]superhobo666 15 points16 points17 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

man if they can give birth they can kick a heroin addiction no problem. /s

[–]misfortunecookies 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

As someone who has friends that struggle with opiate abuse, I can say that this is a total fabrication.

[–]notacrackheadofficer 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's easy! You can just ignore it and go to work, or go horseback riding, or teach sunday school while withdrawing from heroin! It's actually fun!

[–]414RequestURITooLong 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can just snap out of it, just like you would with depression, cancer or bullet wounds.

[–]notacrackheadofficer 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I heard a trip to Six Flags soothes any drug withdrawal. The rollercoasters stimulate the natural endorphin receptors, and calm the digestive system.

[–]Fhtagnyatta 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Remember, the real victims of war are the wives and daughters...

[–]BanSpeech 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

prison has a disproportionate effect on women compared to men

And yet this part is true. Execpt prison is disproportionately worse for men compared to woman. Women get treated 10x better, stay there less time on average, and experience less violence.

[–]Peridorito1001 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe they are talking about menstruation ? Idk

Imo all prison systems should focus more on rehabilitation like it does in Nordic countries. Nobody wants to end up like America with privatised prison systems. Rehabilitation had proven to be much more effective; to lower crimes and get down to the psychology of them, we should 'take care' of everyone.

[–]NecroHexr 22 points23 points24 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We definitely do, at least for the ones with hope.

Prison is useless to someone who's sick or made a temporary mistake.

[–]Qzry 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Absolutely. We are working with humans, we should damn act like it. Taking advantage to make this into a business is the problem: there being corrupt methods and unjust systems.

[+]Diesel-66 -12 points-11 points-10 points 8 years ago (44 children) | Copy Link

You can't rehabilitate career criminals.

[–]Qzry 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

This is a bad argument: how do you know those who have been rehabilitated properly would have otherwise been career criminals if this was not the case? There is simply more success in making dealing with people with more subaltern and human focused techniques.

[–]Diesel-66 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

If someone has 10 felony convictions, they aren't suddenly going to be a poster child citizen. First they aren't going to be hired by anyone with half a brain

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

This is true. With the massive muslim immigration into Scandinavia, we are experiencing career criminals for the first time and our prisoner model seems to work poorly in order to deal with those.

A mixture of the nordic model and american model would most likely be the best solution

[–]Qzry 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Usually it comes down to education and the Scandinavian prison system. People who did not become a part of our education system are less likely to abide and see this as a legitimate way of punishment. The difference between LEDC nations and MEDC nations is the way we teach bad actions and punishment: in Scandinavian countries we teach the negative impacts of our decisions on others and overall teach to reflect on the wider picture, whilst in LEDC's it's about inflicting punishment. If one does not value the overall well-being of everyone, they wouldn't see this as an end to their negative actions.

This is why I will not support the privatised prison system, EVER. should some criminals have individualized systems for them and their crimes? Absolutely.

[–]Diesel-66 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Private prisons in the US are a tiny percent of the us system 7% of state prisoners, 18% federal (very small number of the us system).

[–]Wsing1974 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, State run prisons aren’t much better, at least in Florida. Of course, I suspect that Florida’s governors were trying to run the State prison system into the ground, to make way for the private prison system. Source: was CO

[–]Qzry 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't know that, thanks for telling. Perhaps I should also then focus more on the critique how just the way prisons are run to account more into the issues it causes. I just cannot support a punishment mentality over rehabilitation, but even then there are probably exceptions that require individualized systems, e.g. people who are just so cold/brutal who cannot be fixed.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

should some criminals have individualized systems for them and their crimes? Absolutely.

Agree

[–]hashtagwindbag 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (35 children) | Copy Link

How do you know recidivism isn't an outcome of a punitive system?

[–]Diesel-66 -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (34 children) | Copy Link

Crime pays better than a normal job.

Combine that with low education and they frankly have no other option to get the high pay

[–]hashtagwindbag 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

If the problem is as simple as having a poor education and choosing a more lucrative line of work, then can't that be easily remedied in a rehabilitative system?

[–]Diesel-66 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

No. Because nobody will hire people with multiple felonies, not to mention they have no base education. You can send them to get a certificate program when they can't read.

Now we can possibly prevent this by encouraging education from the start. But that takes families and the community

[–]Rubber_Rose_Ranch 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

This circular reasoning isn't actually solving anything.

"Felons are bad, so no one wants to hire felons, so they go on to commit more felonies. Also, rehabilitation is useless because felons are bad and no one wants to hire them. Also felons will just commit more felonies, so rehabilitation is useless."

[–]Diesel-66 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Reality isn't logical. It's often emotion driven

[–]B3C745D9 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh, so do you support banthebox? You shouldn't need to disclose your drug charge to unpack boxes or really even to work as a developer or something

[–]Rubber_Rose_Ranch -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

This explains nothing.

[–]Qzry 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

You have to define what kind of crimes and give examples boi. The biggest most high paying crimes are done by those with high education and in high positions through fraud, legal loopholes and sexual assaults.

Crimes done by the less educated population tends to get caught when it comes to drug trafficking or thievery.

[–]Diesel-66 -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

The cash from trafficking drugs is a lot more than working at McDonald's which is all they qualify for.

[–]Qzry 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Even with doing drug trafficking you can't be dumb lol. But even this drug problem can be fixed in other ways, not just imprisonment.

[–]Diesel-66 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Legalization.

But ironically it won't help the individuals we are talking about that much because they won't have a job

[–]Qzry 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Well it all comes down to the education system, with the us we know the quality is unbelievably uneven.

[–]Wsing1974 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Some crime does. For instance, I met a meth trafficker that paid for his house, kids’ college, and a marina in Tampa with his criminal enterprise. But that’s rare. Most inmates in state prison go in broke, and thanks to the system, will stay that way.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link

Be disinterested in females and their quality of life and survival. It's the only way to meaningful reforms. Abandonment to their own devices. They got this. They're so strong and empiowered and need men like fish need a bicycle.

[–]Qzry -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The original comment is an extreme simplification of the conversations actually happening. How bout everyone is equally taken care for and equally accountable and responsible for their own success? In my communities this has been the end result as we have taken these approaches. I could not be disinterested in anyone's quality of life and wellbeing, especially regarding a large demograph. Simply too unempathetic.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

I could not be disinterested in anyone's quality of life and wellbeing, especially regarding a large demograph. Simply too unempathetic.

I have no problem forcing myself to be unempathetic to allow important and needed lessons to be learned. They certainly won't reform themselves.

[+]Qzry1 points 8 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

That's exactly the same as what feminists are doing towards the "privileged white cis males". The way you are conducting this conversation to battle these inequalities is extremely unproductive, just creates a continuous cycle of echochambers, oppression olympics and feeding each others movements. The way all this should be done is through productive conversation, but thats all on you if you want to excempt yourself from that.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No, it isn't. Men are not taking womens and girls rights away. Men arent attacking women and girls. Men aren't begging women for money for male-only stuff. Men aren't taking from women through the tax base. Men aren't attacking women through media, law enforcement and the courts. Men have been at this men's rights thing since at least the 1980's and we've gotten nowhere. Talk a little extreme, they take notice. Ignore and abandon them to their own devices, they take notice. Women need to become terrified of a world where men are disinterested in them... and that's starting to happen. MGTOW is constantly being inundated with women scared to death of a world without men helping them. It's quite effective. They need to be terrified to reform themselves. It's the only way.

[+]Qzry1 points 8 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Ah. There you are, already infiltrated with everything I mentioned. You won't be part of any productivity towards any kind of equality, only thinking you're fixing the issue through emotional reaction. I think spreading awareness of women having legal advantages is definitely a conversation that needs to be done, but damn whatever you are doing is going to cause more division and the immature 'lalala can't hear you'-ness. So far met nobody who knows what mgtow is and even then when they do, people joke around about it. Thank god in my circles we understand these conversations and are much more egalitarian, self aware and empathetic. Good luck to you or whatever dude.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

We share identical destinations. You simply oppose the route we are taking while I know that yours is futile at best, but certainly needed to denounce those like me when the time comes and I'll evaporate anonymously into the ether... At the end of the day both our efforts will be fruitful in their own ways in assisting each other. I wish you the very best with yours and thank you for your part in it.

[–]Qzry 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not sure we do. Your tactic proves enough what you think of people. You don't care of them, you simply care of yourself. Also your conversation is extremely ethnocentric, as disparities vary between communities, depending on geographical location. I'm glad that education in my countries would never condone such emotional and toxic mentality. But if an egalitarian world is what you want, then act like it god damn.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're welcome, son.

[–]ZerefGodslayer 81 points82 points83 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Do you guys have the link to the study that if men were treated as women in the justice system there would be around 80% less male inmates?

[–]aesopstortoise 36 points37 points38 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This might be it:

http://empathygap.uk/?p=2031

[–]Vwar 16 points17 points18 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

This is a real example of what feminists call "institutional oppression." Indeed they accept this argument if it is applied to how African Americans are treated by the criminal justice system.

I've heard feminists claim that the huge gender sentencing gap is caused by judges "not taking women as seriously." Well, that may be a factor, but it may also involve our viewing men as more dangerous and having more sympathy for women. It is obscene to look at the brutal treatment of men by the courts and turn it into a self-esteem issue for the opposite sex.

Either way, if feminists were actually an "equality" movement the sentencing gap would be a major source of concern. They would be arguing that men need to be treated with more compassion, or that women need to be treated more harshly, or some combination of both. Instead some feminists are actually trying to eliminate female prisons entirely! This, perhaps more than any other issue, reveals the rank hypocrisy of the feminist movement.

[–]bufedad 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women have always been the true victims of war. They lose husbands, brothers, sons...

And things like this are the reason there is no justice in the justice system anymore. Blatant sexist discrimination is a-okay with feminists as long as it benefits them.

I find it more disturbing that this garbage article was published by a serious news organization. Even if you disagree, it legitimizes this insanely sexist view. If I wrote an article suggesting that only women should be locked up, the editorial board would laugh at me and I would rightfully be regarded as a misogynistic asshole.

[–]Consilio_et_Animis 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Totally agree — spot on!

serious news organization

Ahem... The BBC ["British" Broadcasting Corporation] is a government funded trust financed by a compulsory licence fee on anyone who watches any broadcast TV station, even if they never watch the BBC.

It's overrun by feminists and alt-left types.

The only way it's "serious" is that it is "seriously" biased.

[–]misfortunecookies 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Unfortunately it's also "seriously" funded, and no one has a choice in the matter.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I find it more disturbing that this garbage article was published by a serious news organization.

BBC, like Canada's CBC, clearly pushes an agenda. They're about as serious a news organization as CNN.

[–]-manatease 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The BBC isn't a serious news organisation it has been and always will be a megaphone for the establishment.

[–]Meyright 35 points36 points37 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But one brave man stands up against inequality pushed by these bigots:

Tory MP Philip Davies says more women should be sent to prison to achieve equality with men

[–]funkyguy09 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

He was criticised by Labour MP Jess Phillips, who said that to her it felt like “every day is International Men’s Day”.

Fuck you too Jess Phillips :)

[–]themolestedsliver 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seriously, i fucking hate blind statements people make as if it proves anything.

No not everyday is international men's day, male sexual assault and rape is still seen as a joke, cops are literally told in a domestic depute it is always the male that is guilty, causing in part suicides being done by males mostly. etc etc.

Actually, come to think of it. No one gives a shit about international men's day so i guess she was kinda right in a misguided way.

[–]MrWhiteside97 23 points24 points25 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The only point made in this article about why women specifically should get shorter sentences is that they're usually primary carers for children. So now the law is going to discriminate in favour when it comes to custody and becoming primary caregiver...and then use that as an excuse to not give women prison sentences

[–]SuddenKaleidoscope 21 points22 points23 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Honestly though, if the "primary care giver" fucks up enough to find themselves in front of a judge on the hook for prison time, they probably shouldn't be the "primary care giver"

[–]tacticalslacker 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

PREACH.

[–]skepticalbob 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Those are two separate parts of the legal system.

The custodial decision is usually made on the basis of who the primary caregiver already is. That is much more likely to be the woman.

[–]bufedad 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, he's pointing out that one part of the legal system compounds another part of the legal system to make the problem much much worse.

[–]DevilishRogue 38 points39 points40 points 8 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

So much for equality.

[+]cant_fix_crazy -51 points-50 points-49 points 8 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

I don’t get it

[+]QuasisLogic1 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link

It’s men’s rights not “hate on women”

[+]icandrive1551 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

When facing militant feminists, There are times when these are mutually exclusive concepts.

[+]QuasisLogic1 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

I get it, it’s infuriating, but unless you want to do to your enemies what they’ve done to you then I want to just fight for equality, I’m not going to feel good about a mother having her child lost just because the other guy was a man, I’m not going to be like “awesome, more homeless women then men!” I just want these issues to be taken seriously, and not only when women are involved.

[+]icandrive1552 points 8 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I appreciate that about you. Like I said, it is noble. But ultimately I believe it will not work.

So the ostensibly hypothetical question to you (although I personally believe it is not hypothetical) is: if you knew in advance that always playing fair in the battle with feminists would be a lost cause, would you regret playing by fair rules and losing honorably? Or would you reconsider using some questionable stats from time to time to counteract the feminists outright lies?

[–]cant_fix_crazy 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well said. I’d rather fight back effectively than “lose honorably” as I watch my life, kids, and money all be taken from me.

The really sad part is that someone has to “win” and “lose” in these situations... family court is a knee jerk reaction to deal with a few monsters (wife beaters, pedo’s, etc.) that has now grown into this uncontrollable beast that destroys citizens lives. The whole thing needs a complete overhaul.

[–]DignifiedAlpaca 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think you are exactly right. I don't understand why someone would want to respond to this kind of stuff by just trying to take more innocent people's rights away... It is important to keep in mind that the majority of the women who would be hurt by that would be women who had absolutely nothing to do with the policies that hurt men. It makes no sense to me to approach things that way.

I agree with you in theory, and I used to go for that. The problem is while you’re being fair, rational, and kind, the other side is blatantly trying to destroy you. At some point you have to fight back...

[+]goober_boobz -12 points-11 points-10 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If women aren't fighting for men's rights how should men feel about women then?

[+]QuasisLogic1 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

You can feel however you want but mainstream media is pushing a crazy agenda that a lot of people are against.

[–]goober_boobz 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The agenda is keeping men working on the plantation as labor paying taxes to the welfare system. In order to control men you have to make them feeble minded, shameful slaves to their own biology, or risk prison. In contrast, women promoting communist egalitarian ideas backed by the media and government institutions makes women agents of the state with immunity protections. Its pretty obvious, yet I don't hate women. I hate the delusion they've been fed. But my question is, how should all men feel about all women, not the individual's opinion.

Edit: typo

Well said.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Equality before THE LAW!

We can recognize differences while not denying basic supports for any gender in need.

“Bernie Bowen-Thompson of Safer Wales says prison has a disproportionate effect on women compared to men”

What a joke. Feminism is just a big, retarded, baby that contradicts itself with every breath.

[–]JackBond1234 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

My state had a gubernatorial debate recently, and one of the candidates was obsessed with lowering our female incarceration rate. How about we just make sure the people in jail actually did something wrong instead?

[–]BoringHair1 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

We shouldn't even know the gender, look, age etc of the punished before they are sentenced in my opinion. Why bother stopping discrimination when we can just eradicate discrimination altogether

Not to mention that average women get 11 suspended sentences before going to jail

[–][deleted] 34 points35 points36 points 8 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Statistics like this are bullshit. Seriously, this is on the level of feminist propaganda like the wage gap. You can't aggregate like this.

Please don't stoop to their level. We're better at math than that.

[–]Pyromed 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I must admit this has crossed my mind while seeing these articles.

Although are there any offense level statistics with severity involved?

[–]_pulsar 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's obvious hyperbole. The point is that women receive lighter sentences for the same crimes.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes I know and I don't doubt that's true but this statistic doesn't show that nor can you necessarily conclude that from this fact.

[–]JohnjSmithsJnr 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This 100%.

I’ve seen this kind of shit so much (usually people using it to argue that systematic racism still exists).

You absolutely cannot compare raw statistics, it’s impossible, you can’t even compare any statistics as they don’t account for the whole situation at all.

You can only compare them anecdotally on a case by case basis

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I might do a short statistics course for this sub if there is interest in it. I'm busy with work but I might get time for it next weekend.

[–]JohnjSmithsJnr 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it would be useful for a lot of people, people in general just don't seem to really understand how to interpret statistics well.

A lot don't seem to understand the concept of outliers not the concept of context and what statistics actually show, all they show is a difference statistically, they don't necessarily show or confirm a reason for the difference.

[–]CityFarming 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A short statistics course would be highly appreciated.

well, doesnt that have something to do with the fact that men are 165 percent more likely to get convicted and sentenced than women?

edit

i was off, its only 100 percent (twice as likely to get off):

"men receive 63% longer sentences on average than women do," and "[w]omen are…twice as likely to avoid incarceration if convicted." This gender gap is about six times as large as the racial disparity that Prof. Starr found in another recent paper.

Men not only make more prisoners, but also get larger sentences for similar crimes:

Well duh. "WE WANT EQUALITY"

When prison is mentioned, equality suddenly doesn't sound so appealing.

When the draft got announced, again, suddenly "I didn't ask for this part of feminism, take it back".

And now... we're (well, not we as in everybody here, we, men, are rational enough to understand that equality EXISTS and has been here for the better portion of around 50 or more years, the buffoons of the society need to understand it before barking again on random streets) "fighting" for equality on every single road but we all of a sudden decided we "don't" really like equality but we like preferential acting. As in, we want what we tried saying about men til now. We want to have it the "easy & rich" way while men should just die.

Well. These women get to vote people. That's the only sad reason. Their princess like wrong mentality is ok in some parts of the world but they can take decisions and that is sad.

An ideology claiming to oppose different treatment of genders is now saying it's discrimination to NOT treat women differently.

It should be obvious that political SJWism is not a movement done in good faith; it's manipulative and bigoted, and needs to be stopped.

[–]Greg_W_Allan 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It only a few years since the UK government ordered judges to go easy on criminal women. Thus those victimised by women will experience a lesser level of justice if any at all.

It should be considered a human rights violation.

You can care for women.

It's called 'Tough Love'.

Punish them harshly when they do wrong and they will learn to not do wrong. Send the thots (or Twats) to prison.

[–]dukunt 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Obviously this is because men are inherently evil and will alway resort to evil ways. Women on the other hand are naturally good and if they do bad things it is because of a very bad situation that forces them to make bad choices. The best solution for this is to lock-up all men before they can do evil but that of course would cause a breakdown in society as no one would be able to remove garbage and unplug toilets (the only things men are good for, Women are capable of handling everything else). The next best solution is to never send women to prison so they can better govern us men. /s

"Women are these delicate little beings that can do no wrong, and are simply misguided. Any adversity that women have to overcome or have to deal with can't be the result of their own actions, no it must be someone else's fault, presumably a man."

The comments are interesting.

One thing might help - decriminalise TV license evasion. Utterly ridiculous that this should be a criminal offence. It should be a civil offence and dealt with in the County Court. No one (I believe its mainly women) should be put in prison for not having one.

I hadn't realized that not paying the BBC tax was a criminal offense. But just to show that this is no different from everything else...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4130060/More-women-men-jailed-TV-licenses.html

More women than men are jailed over TV licences: Call for reforms after number of women sent to prison doubles in a year

Yeah, dailymail, sorry.

So why are women not paying the TV tax? Every effort is being made to get them the best employment possible.

Rather than making things better for women only, would not society benefit from making things better for both men and women?

[–]Luchadorgreen 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The Ministry of Justice said it recognised female offenders often had complex issues and problems. "That is why we are investing in better multi-agency approaches in each area and working up a strategy to improve outcomes for women both in prison and in the community," a spokesman said.

But not for men, I assume? No surprise there. At least the comments were logical.

[–]custos_uk 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I actually hate the BBC and their reporting. The gender pay gap report had no explanation - it’s tyrannical to remove nuance and leave out the reasons why it’s the case. They didn’t even match jobs - so Premiership clubs compared their top striker to the tea-lady.

Hope I’m not alone on my opinion, certainly don’t know anyone who thinks this.

Hope Sir Cliff wins his case against them. Fuck the BBC.

[–]alc0 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
