While I don't feel sorry for this guy, I do wish people would stop giving men shit for having small dicks. A buddy of mine used to be a feminist, and we actually fought one time because of it and didn't speak for a while. A few months passed and he sends me a message on Facebook. A pink-haired chick with whom he was friends with, asked him if the reason why he didn't want to have sex with her was because she was fat and he said that it was (you shouldn't ask questions if you don't want and answer), so anyway, this chick became psychotic, one time she spilled an entire glass of water on his food tray on the campus cafeteria and was following him. He asked me what he should do, so I told him she was trying to get him in trouble, to get him to touch her or push her so she could go to the police and get him arrested or something. I told him to stay clear of her at all costs because his future was more important.

My feelings on this depend precisely on what Arel's comment means.

1) Maybe he means "I believe people who claim they are raped."

1a) If someone says they've been raped, I'll believe them and help them get the resources and take the steps they need.

1b) If someone accuses a specific person of rape, I can't believe that wholesale without evidence. Now someone's reputation is on the line.

2) It's pretty unlikely, but maybe he means: "I believe people victims of rape" as in they've been proved to be victims of rape. Then, so do I—who wouldn't?

I think it's likely Arel means 1b, and if so, there's nothing wrong with pointing out a blatant flaw in someone's argument—especially if that line of thinking results in society-wide witch hunts under the guise of guilt before innocence.

Maybe @Xiaxue's jumping the gun and making assumptions, or maybe we're missing context. I can't say anything beyond the possibilities I listed above.

To put it more succinctly, 3% of rape accusations are proven true.

8% are proven false.

89% of rape accusations are never proven true or false.

Something not proved to be true beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law doesn't automatically prove the accuser to be a liar.

And I'm curious why the report from 20 years ago is apparently being shared around in Men's Rights circles. Looking at the report itself it appears that reported rape is dramatically increasing- and I know that rape cases and accountability for rape has increased drastically over the past few years.

I would imagine there would be a similar report from 2017, or even this century?
