I typically see a keyword like fat, bitch, ugly, etc, and laugh and report. Doing anything but reporting, blocking, and ignoring the man is feeding exactly into what he craves which is validation and attention. It doesn’t have to be positive to be affirming for them.

But please don't respond to them. Men CRAVE attention, even negative attention. Depriving them of a reaction is the easiest way to make them go away.

One of the first things I did on FDS was to not allow chat/dms. I love that they can read about themselves and there's nothing they can do. Scrotes can go cry some more about it.

On another popular sub, which is intended for women to share and discuss women’s issues, the men who reply will make comments that are lengthier than any other reply. In some instances, their comment is just as lengthy as the post.

And I’ve never read a single comment that had any value for women. Men are always speaking about themselves. Always.

I’m so grateful to FDS. Our mods are absolute saints. This is the only place where women don’t have to battle their way into just being able to speak about topics important to women. On other subs, women have to give a million disclaimers (he could have been… I’m not sure… it just made me feel weird. Idk… I know not all men…) and endure shitty men in the comments.

FDS is the one place women aren’t assaulted by shitty men in the comments. We can actually have productive conversations.

No, scrotes, we don’t need men to participate in the conversation. Sit down. Shut the fuck up. And, if you’re truly interested in being an ally, listen respectfully (AND SILENTLY), then go tell your buddies to also sit down and shut the fuck up.

I agree I remember when I made the shift from typing long paragraphs to men about how they hurt me to literally blocking and deleting without even reading the texts (or listening to the voicemails! One guy left me a long scripted voicemail after ONE date about how we are great for each other lmao).

I returned his call after listening to the voicemail .. I was 23. Now at 26 I literally will block delete ignore. Lol. So much more peace and FUN

Also if you are still struggling with pickme tendencies, you can tell yourself while he's blocked that he's sending you long apologies and telling you what a mistake he made. Instead of looking at your blank phone every 4 minutes to verify he definitely doesn't give a sh-t about you. Lol

I've only gotten a few DM's relating to FDS, and I have just ignored them all.

One even generously offered to date me if I meet his standards because he "doesn't date ugly women" and can you believe it, he kindly said that he would even send me few dick pics if I was in.

Ignoring messages is something new FDS taught me. ☺ I used to make myself reply to every message I got (politely), even if they were harassing or rude.

I could see myself replying to a death threat back then like: "Hello. I am sorry to hear that you do not seem to like me very much. However, I'd like to inform you that the message you sent to me came across as unpolite and frankly made me feel a bit unsafe..."

I think I'd be ready to have a civil discussion with someone (as long as it wasn't something like "why should women have basic human rights") who was interested to know why I have certain views, because I usually like to have kind and respectful conversations even with people I somewhat disagree. 😊

I don't see it as likely that I'll come across a situation like that, however.

Women should extend this into real life. Joined FDS mid-relationship? Boyfriend giving you text essays when you say you don’t wan’t to tolerate porn/Instagram girls/OnlyFans anymore? Dump, block, and delete. Don’t engage with LVM essays at any stage of knowing someone, whether he’s a Reddit stranger or someone you’ve known intimately for years. Text essays are so much more difficult to read, process, and respond to than a phone call or in-person conversation, and guys know this. Text essays are usually done in bad faith, the LVMs writing them know that they are the best way to shove all their “points” down your throat all at once before you can even disprove the first thing they say. It is a literal WALL of text meant to knock you down emotionally, just like a brick and mortar wall would crush a woman physically if it fell on her. These essays are meant to be violently one-sided.

Writing this helped me forgive my past self for falling into this trap in the past. Do not read or entertain essays.

This one time on my (now dead) account, I had some guy follow me and then write a message to me about how my grandma apparently sounds like a "queen" and I could learn a thing or two from her. He literally asked me for her contact details.

It was in reference to a post about how she belittled my mother, me and my sister for pursuing higher education and not aspiring to be dutiful housewives? Post didn't even have that much info in it.

This woman legit did some serious damage to me when I was child and physically + mentally abused her own children to the point where they're all severely messed up and some of them addicted to drugs- I didn't mention any of that in the post.

I just had to ask the dude who messaged me exactly what he was hoping to achieve. He didn't have a response.
