If my boyfriends had a birthday, I would decorate the house, bake a cake and their favorite dinner and if they were lucky I also had some gifts. The gifts were always something I picked out for them myself and they meant something. Never more than 100 euros. He never knew what was coming and he'd better be grateful for it.

Who are these entitled boys who see birthdays and holidays as occasions to golddig from their SO's? It's a birthday, not an excuse to get shit that you desperately want but are to dusty for to buy yourself.

Edit: I bought a HVM I dated a book and his favorite high end bonbons for his birthday. It was a very specific book about a style of architecture, because he just bought a house like that and was renovating. We didn't work out because of life goals, but he recently brought it up again, because he thought it was so thoughtful of me. HVM value gifts the way they're meant to be and this tool in the TikTok gets upset about 200 dollars. I just can't.
