Fun Fact:

There is a comedy channel, called "CollegeHumor" which once made an entire sketch about this exact thing.

It's called "Hate Cat Calling? Try Blow Up Boyfriend" and features exactly what the title says: Because men only leave you alone when another guy is with you, you can "purchase" a blow-up-doll in form of a man.

The idea is (regarding it's a sketch) over the top, with women basically pulling the emergency cord on a little bag around their hips, but the idea is delivered perfectly and the comment sectiona as expected (aka girls telling their stories and guys complaining that you now "can never talk to a girl again without getting labeled an harrasser")

My friend and I were on a walk and this car full of guys started slowly following us, eventually they pulled up next to us and asked if we had bfs. We both said “yes.” They said “lucky dudes” and drove off. I can only imagine what God-awful catcalls they were planning for us if we had said “no.”

When I get that too often, I just get a simple and cute band that I like and carry that around. If I get to bothered or know I'm going to an area where I'll be bothered, I slip the ring on and voila, no more harassments usually.

I had something in this vein happen to me. Someone was interested and I told him that I didn’t feel the same. He kept persisting saying, “I’m just so attracted to you” as if that excused his behavior. I finally told him (truthfully) that I was seeing someone and he finally stopped. It shouldn’t have taken that to make him back off. No should have been enough.

It's so true. I've had the same guy harassing me for months. A coworker that I made the mistake of going on ONE date with and then decided after that date that I did not have interest in going out with him ever again because he was a pushy douche. I've used every line in the book with him and none of it made him stop. Finally I had my kids dad (who I'm not in a relationship with) tell him off for me out of desperation bc I didnt want my boss to know I even went out with a coworker so I never reported it to management. He respected my kids dad telling him off, and left me alone. But I admit I'm pissed off that he thought he could ignore ME telling him for months that I'm not interested but a man tells him once and he instantly obeys. Fucking bullshit.

Shit like this is why I switched over to saying, “I’m not interested.” And when (not if) they push, give them a full read neck-down before asking them if I should continue to dissect all the repugnant aspects of their personality as well?

They usually get super triggered, cuss me out, then finally fuck off. I usually audiably snicker or laugh at them when they do. Or if you get the old, “I just wanted to talk to you, bitch” hit em with, “What makes you think you would have something worthwhile to say to me?”

Naw it's assumed you'll say no by both ur real or imagined bf and the guy tryna holla. They run after taken women all the time. The funniest encounter I had was when I declined a guy by "I'm not interested" and he said "why??" When I lived overseas and we’d go out clubbing (my female friend and two male friends) I’d get hit on my creepy guys a bit. They’d never take no for an answer u til I would grab one of my male friends and say ‘hey! Meet my boyfriend!’ He’d always be cool about it, put his hand out and say ‘hey, man. How’re you doing?’ At which point the guy would immediately back off.

At one point he asked me ‘why do you always grab me and not other friend?’ Me: ‘because you’re the most manly and intimidating of the two.’ He was about 6 inches shorter but held an air of confidence and an intelligence that the other didn’t have.....and it saved me so many aggressive encounters.
