I am only actively shaving my underarm pits, because it makes me feel and smell better. Usually I also trim down there, but so far my husband didnt say anything negative, even when I full on "let it grow". Our sex life was still amazing and frequent. So if you dont feel comfortable shaving, dont do it. Male opinions dont matter in that case, like at all.

I used to shave bald because once a dude asked me to. Then when I came back with ingrowns and nicks he said ew😒 at that moment I decided fuck what anyone ever will think. I personally like to keep it trimmed, if I’m on vacation I’ll get a bikini wax. I’m a grown ass woman, not a child 😏

I stopped shaving and no one has said anything to me. But I get some dudes always have something to say. I just say keep it the way you like. I just trim my hair because mine can get really long.

No HVM do not act the same. A HVM treats women like a human being with respect and knows they aren't just porn fantasies.

Best way to maintain IMO is to trim with one of those pen sized trimmers. I trim the length and the edges so it's neat. Sometimes I shave the hair off of just the outer labia because for me that's not an irritating, but leave the rest on top. You can also just trim the hair on the outer labia really short. Sometimes I let it bush out on top (pubic mound) and keep the rest short for convenience (gets in the way during menstruation and adjusting underwear if it's long)

As for preventing irritation from shaving with a razor, I haven't found a way yet.

My advice would be to shave / epilate / trim if that’s what makes YOU feel comfortable. Absolutely no one else has a right to tell you what to do with your body hair. Wax has been practical for me even though it hurts like shit the first time (I even bled lmaooo). Otherwise, if you don’t want to epilate but shaving causes you irritations, you can use depilatory cream but be careful about how your skin reacts to it. I’m considering getting laser removal within this year. But this is mostly a matter of aesthetic for me and although I know this choice is obviously inspired by years of propaganda against body hair on women I just feel more comfortable when I’m hairless down there. Also having hair makes me itchy??

By the way the only guy I had sex with whom I considered a HVM never EVER said a single thing about my body that wasn’t him fawning over me being a “goddess”.

My (toxic) ex boyfriend once said he could see my body hair growing back and it bothered him so I took my electric epilator and put it on his leg. He never mentioned it again. ((He wasn’t shaved or trimmed AT ALL btw))

So overall it all comes down to your own preferences and please don’t let a LVM and his hairy sweaty balls tell you what to do.

I don't shave anything -- on doctors advice, actually -- and its a great litmus test and time saver.

None of my exes have had issues with it. If anything my female friends had more to say about my not shaving than the guy who knew he was just lucky to be seeing me naked.

I only actively shave my armpits and legs to the knee. I dont really bother even shaving in the winter. I have full pubes because I also hate the itches and the ingrowns. Of the four men who I've slept with not a one of them said anything about it. Two of which were LVM. One guy offered to shave for me and I said no because I wasn't going to. I also really dont care about body hair or lack there off. My thought is if they dont like your hair they've selected themselves out of the running. Walk away.

Any man Ive ever dated is fine with mine trimmed and I wont shave it bald for anyone. I dont even like men bald. I like it trimmed so the hair is still soft and not sandpaper 5 o clock shadow. I want to see man parts not a bald boy. His stubble irritates me and I certainly dont want to grind on top of him on sand paper...

I used to get severe abscesses, which I never connected with shaving but after my latest ex stopped having any type of sex with me, I didn’t bother and the abscesses disappeared.

I’d probably trim if I ever got a date but the horizon is completely clear at this point.

I've found that I'm more prone to UTIs if I shave so I don't. My boyfriend is supportive of whatever I choose to do with my body. In this case it's for my health so it's a no brainer.

I stopped shaving my pits a year or so ago as well. He thinks it is unfathomably cool 'like Patti Smith and Amanda Palmer' lol

In my country both men and women shave their pits and pubes for hygiene reasons, and because it's an Islamic thing. (IDK if all Muslim countries do it, but in my country it's the normal thing to do.) I've been shaving for so long, I don't even know what it would look like with hair. I just pop in the shower, and if there's stubble, I put some soap on it and shave, takes less than 30 seconds. Never any skin problems because my skin is probably used to it.

HOWEVER, this is your body and you need to do what you like and what feels comfortable for you. I think pubes on a woman are hot. Like you look at a woman and you can't even see her vulva because it's just a triangle of hair down there? I like that. I think humans are actually programmed to be instinctively turned on by that. I think you can actually weed out a porn-fed LVM scrote by his reaction to pubic hair. If he's obsessed with shaved vagina and gets confused and angered by pubic hair, you know he's trash. A healthy man will be turned on simply by the knowledge that there is a vagina under there somewhere, he won't get uptight about some pubes.

After shaving every day since my first pube appeared, I am sick of it and quit bothering about 7 years ago. I do only what is comfortable for me. No one I've dated since has ever taken issue. I tell them that that's the way it is. I shave my legs for special occasions (weddings, interviews, when I feel like it), armpits too. For down there, I have dark coloring and fur must keep european peasant woman warm during long winter lol, so I wax the sides (bikini) myself with hot wax about every 1-2 months and trim the rest every so often in the shower. This is most comfortable for me. I seriously would not care if a man didn't like it, honestly that would be a hard pass from me. That shit is just way too much maintenance otherwise and I hate the feeling of stubble.

I trim it, or shave it occassionally (I don't really know the frequency of it because I don't really care, it's never urgent). It's not long, if enough time has passed since the shave (trimming doesn't affect it) it's not itchy or pokey or anything, it doesn't smell and it looks nice. HVM and LVM alike didn't have any problems with it so far and I had younger and older men in my life. I shaved for my first boyfriend only and never since then. He didn't care as much about hair as I thought, and he turned out LV so I regretted shaving for him even more. My current boyfriend insists on giving me oral almost every time before sex and he likes to take the time and get to know what I like during said oral, so my pubic hair can't be that repulsive I guess. My hair is ashy dark brown and I have very light skin so it'snot that it's unnoticable or anything.

I don't shave nothing, ever. Pubic, armpits, eyebrows, nothing. I'm a grown woman that grows hair, and if a man doesn't like that, well; that's just too bad for him losing the opportunity to be with someone as awesome as I am. That being said, I really like hairs, in general. Just like someone commented above i also find hair quite erotic and am particularly repulsed by the no hair look, so I'm actively looking for a man that looks like a man and not like a boy. I don't shave any thing in winter. I trim down there, and will do a bikini/happy trail wax for swimming in summer. Also in summer I shave my pits and legs but definitely not frequently. I'm definitely hairy, like mild-medium hairy. As a young girl classmates would say "GWP is so hot, even with the leg hair" lmao. No one complains, if they do they know where the door is and can leave anytime. My body my hair and most men love it. Win, win.

I’m wax-4-life because it makes me feel amazing. My hair down there is straight and course and it get irritated at the slightest growth(i can’t even have a landing stripe), so not having any works for me. If i could have some, I’d go for a clean neat trim.

I trim the area like a nicely trimmed lawn. I do wax the bikini line to keep it nice and smooth. Shaving gives me too many ingrown sand dark marks.

I just trim down there with a pair of scissors. I do it about every two weeks or so, even when I'm not seeing anyone and know no one's gonna see me naked, it just makes me feel better. It's really just for myself.

The way I figure it, you don't need to do anything to it for the purposes of making yourself attractive to him if it makes you uncomfortable. He would be a definite LVM if he expected or asked you to change the way you groom yourself just so he can go down on you or whatever. Shaving or waxing always gave me ingrowns and I hated the itchy regrowth so much.

I’m in a LDR so I don’t shave too much. I do trim. But when I do, I shave the lips and keep the front hairy. Completely shaven looks like a young girl’s coochie and that’s just disturbing to me.. like why would a grown man be attracted to that? Also if you shave your entire pubic mound, when the hair grows back it is ITCHY! Another reason I keep the hair there. When a man shaves his, and his hair grows back, all that stubble ramming into you during sex is extremely unpleasant and will result in burning. Keep a bit of hair is my advice.

I just trim it, no shaving. I always seem to get ingrown hairs if i shave:( if I was going on holidays I'd get a professional waxing. Haven't had any complaints.
