Many school divisions won't hire male teachers for anything lower than grade 7 - 12.

That is a shame. Because I think the prime age for that positive male role model is much younger than grade 7.

Ok but where's the proof that quantity is over quality? 1 male teacher could give all the masculinity example a boy needs. Also, boys usually have lots of male friends and masculinity influence can come from that.

Ah. I never understood why women complain about men if they raised them that way. I mean the way a mother is castrating her son is just disgusting. Even more disgusting is when a father is doing it. I am being heavily triggered on a daily basis because I have neighbors who castrate their son big time. Oh man when he grows up . . . He will give hell to his parents and pretty much they deserve it because it looks like they are almost begging for it the way they are humiliating him. Though this is a educational practice here, if I were to say anything against that I would probably have to move.

This has always irked me. When people hold signs that read 'teach men not to rape' my second thought after 'we already are', is that men are raised mostly by women so how is it they manage to completely absolve said women on their part in raising rapists?

When you think about it "teach men not to rape" is an admission that mothers and (mostly female) teachers failed to teach boys right from wrong.

Why is it other mens fault or responsibility for criminal men when these men are raised more by women than men?

It's the same with the theory of toxic masculinity. It exists in a vacuum where the influence of mothers, the primary parent, is completely ignored because it doesn't fit the narrative that only men are to blame

So many of the problem kids come from single parent or fatherless homes though. There's plenty of masculinity around, it's just that a lot of it is not controlled properly due to a lack of role models. Perhaps male teachers can help there but surely good examples are the key whichever gender provides them. You don't deprogram millions of years of evolution and chemistry in a couple of decades.

Assuming the events of being raised by a single mother and having female teachers are independent, we can use part of Baye's Theorem to calculate a probability of boys having 100% female influence very easily. The word "and" in mathematics means multiply, so the probability of a boy being raised by a single mother and having female teachers only is: .43 x .78 = .34 appx. That's how you analyze the data she has given, none lol that "almost 50%.." Blah blah blah stuff.

(I am a female statistician who got irritated with this incorrect logic.)

A look at some more accurate data:

Even though not necessarily accurate for world patterns in Australia of the 15.8% of single parent families, 81.8% of those are with a female guardian. Which makes the actual number of single mother families 12.9%. The average number of children for a family is 1.8, so isf that is rounded to two there is a theoretical 75% chance of the family having at least one boy, which makes that statistic change to 9.7%, of all boys have a single mother as parent, using some assumptions and rounding.

The numbers might be off but honestly they have a point.

I have been lucky to have a father but he is forced to work 6 days a week so i barely see him, or see him when he is tired from working all day.

Maybe we wouldn't be having this conversation if we focused less on teaching boys to be men and more on teaching them to be good people. The "man" part will come later and naturally, you're not going to have some guy who's been taught to respect people decide that negging is a solid pickup technique.

What do all of the school shooters have in common? Absent fathers.

Masculinity is agency. It grapples with the physical world. Playing it safe is not an option. It needs a direction. Femininity is lack of agency. It does not. Yet another idiotic feminist projection. They don't understand why boys can't just sit on their ass, follow the rules, and "be nice." It's why males suck at modern school where behavior is emphasized over academic results, and why females suck at work.

It's not just about fathers. Socialization happens mainly through peers. Forced agency makes it clear who has competence and who does not. This creates hierarchies. This makes civilization efficient. But only if you know your place in the hierarchies, and if they are based on competence.

All animals know their place. Only totalitarian identity politics idiots do not.

Without a male figure to emulate growing up, its true that it would be harder to fully understand how a boy or man should act. But I’m not all that sure the numbers here are accurate. I know a LOT of male teachers and because of equal rights laws, most kids nowadays have at least close to equal time with both parents.
