You do know religion is a MASSIVE part of history right? I mean if you want it to be fully gone fine we can omit from history books, personal beliefs. You know what while we are at it we should probably get rid of churches and the right to speak about christanity so kids don't ask awkward questions. I have no problem with atheism being taught in school, but i personally believe christanity has a place in schools too. We should teach children every arguement bout creation, science, history and what not, wrong or right and allow children ans parents to make their own choices.

Atheism is the belief that there is no god. Evolution it the study of life changing over time. You can easily believe in god and accept evolution. The ideas are not in any way exclusive.
We can't teach creationism in school because there is no evidence for it. I would come down to "There are some people who say the earth was made a few thousand years ago the way it is now...but we have no proof that that is true so here is what we have evidence for, evolution."

I never said ban the poster. There is such a thing as inappropriate, irrelevant, or even harmful threads. This thread is inappropriate and harmful to the reputation of both this subreddit and the MRM as a whole. You don't just abstain from one extreme by going to the other. This subreddit needs better moderating. There is a difference between keeping things relevant through moderators and being ban happy. You don't even have to ban people to do it.
It is green text from 4chan, it feeds the angry and bitter attitude around here and makes the entire sub look foolish and bitter.

I'm sorry you're being downvoted. Your points are constructive, in my opinion, and bring up an important issue about the internet and Reddit in general.
Even though I'm disturbed by the posts you've mentioned, I choose to use the comments to express my opinion and try to change the minds of other users. It won't do us any good to create a circlejerk of like-minded activists and talk about how right we are. That's all we're doing anyway: talking.
I would rather see Reddit run on votes. If there are thousands of people in this community who think calling women names is the answer, let them upvote and call names. It makes it easier for me to find the people who need my efforts.
Those people are our neighbors, and they'll exist whether or not we allow them to post in our subreddit. This goes for all political subreddits.

You make excellent points and I can definitely see your perspective. I just can't get on board with it because while you may be attempting to influence people positively these posts and the attitudes many people here hold and express are bad for the MRM, PR matters a lot for a social movement because you want as many people on your side as possible. So this subreddit is like a PR nightmare for the movement as a whole because nothing is done to promote better attitudes and keep out posts like this.
But this is just a difference between us, so I can see and respect your view.

Lots of reasons some good some bad. Reddit itself is growing. The movement itself is growing. There are plenty of like minded people on reddit who have never heard of this sub, lots of people lurk reddit main subs who may just recently be getting into small subs and finding them, some of it is from bitter young men, trolls, altaccounts, SRS who watch, SRD who watch. Their will always be some fluctuation in subscribers some will be good and some will be bad. You can't just blindly look at things and take them at face value, think about it for a second and think about if this sub is supposed to be about the MRM or a place for bitter hurt men who feel wronged to come bitch about women. A 4chan green text making it to the front page shows me the kind of people that make up the majority around here and it shows me how the mods don't give a shit about making this a sub about real men's rights issues.

Yes, but the point is valid: A strong network of friends, like a college Fraternity, is a great thing to have go to bat for you. I've long wondered how/why many of the college sex tapes were recorded. False rape accusations are why. While I'm not into one night stands, or humping on the first date, the video recording as much of the encounter as possible is a VERY good precaution against subsequent false rape accusation.
