I'm a female. I've never considered myself a feminist because most feminists these days tend to just support anything that places women above men. I tend to support anything that puts them on a level playing field. I realize that it's not easy being a man or a woman. Most feminists I've encountered on the internet have been bitter women who think all sex is rape, all men are monsters and women's health issues are more important than all other health issues. A lot of feminist blogs and comment threads I've read eventually morphed into a bunch of women cackling about some guy having a small dick or being gay.

And I kind of expected the same thing when I came here.

I came with an open mind. But in the back of my head, I pictured a bunch of sexually repressed men with rejection issues sitting around making kitchen and sandwich jokes and calling any women they disagree with, or that they don't find attractive, man hating lesbos.

But, I've found something here that I have yet to see in feminist reddits; intelligent, non-sexist conversation and informative blogs. I've also seen that you guys aren't afraid to admit that women's lives aren't perfect and amazing. I've yet to see a feminist admit that there is institutionalized anti-man bigotry, and that it is a serious issue. They just deny, deny, deny,

So, thanks for existing. You rock.
