My dad grew up in a really traditional and sexist culture. His friend once made a sexual joke to another friend once and a girl overheard it. The two guys had to go to the girl’s house and apologize to her and her parents. This stuff is not new, it’s really old and traditional stuff. Because women were assumed to be so defenseless in a traditional society, people expect men to take more care in how they interact with women. If anything we have changed to a point where men and women can actually have these arguments with each other (which I think is good). My grandpa and my dad would’ve been very upset at the tone a lot of men use against women these days. But of course they only think that because they still assume women can’t defend themselves well and it’s not a fair fight. Even from a parent/child perspective my dad almost never scolded me, because he doesn’t feel comfortable speaking to a girl or woman in a hostile tone, even his own daughter. Although I have pushed him past the limit a few times, and holy shit it was scary.

Its about being appropriate. Both men and women need to be aware of who they are talking to. You can make a joke with someone you get on with and it's okay, you make that same joke with someone that doesn't know you so well could misinterpret the intention.

With social interactions you have to read the room before talking sometimes. Children say whatever pops in to their heads and learn through experience. Adults should already know this.

Before talking: is this appropriate for the work place? Is this going to come across as offensive?

As an asexual man working in a female dominated industry where literally every coworker except me is a woman — I have absolutely no issues. (Wedding cake industry)

I think the biggest issue is a lot of men are still very much married to their locker room talk and sexual lingo which ultimately sets them up for failure. And you try to convince men to change and they’ll just call you easily offended lol. Which I just rolls my eyes at. They just don’t want to change.

But you get the really professional type guys who cross their Ts and dot their Is, who talk like you would expect for a work place — they’re perfectly fine. You build up a reputation for having high integrity, so even if some drama queen wanted to spit drama — she’d end up treading water as everyone sighs “here we go again!”

So my personal opinion from experience of working 20 years with 95%+ women is that men have nothing to worry about if they can keep their potty language to themselves.

Cancel culture will get anyone, so just act professional when you work professionally.

As for social experiences? I feel like guys can get slandered more. Locker room talk is a lot more tolerated in a bar. But if someone has it out for him — and they get the right words on video — yeah, lawyers are nice.

But I still strongly believe that as long as a man is acting ethically — he has nothing to worry about.

Also that probably sucks for women who want men to be more aggressive and make the first move and always initiate. Those times are changing. Equality is here. So now everyone has to pitch.

This is obviously a stupid question. No, there won’t be a time where men need a lawyer to have any interaction with women.

If you did phrase your post in a less rage bait way though, we could instead have a discussion on if men’s fear of being wrongfully persecuted for sexual harassment or misconduct due to a fake accusation or even just a misunderstanding, mean that men are going to withdraw from women in their social and professional lives in the future, that is a conversation worth having.

Well I'm not going to go that far lol although in the case of celebrities a lot of times probably can just go up to the girl at the bar and just flirt it's more likely they send somebody down and say " hey Drake is up in the VIP, would you like to see him?" And even then they probably have to sign something and not have their phones around

But to the average guy especially in Corporate America, you just have to be smart about how you interact with some of these broads, as I always say on here I make it a point to not communicate with women at work, unless I absolutely 100% have to, if you're going to hit a chick up on social media make sure you keep screenshots and receipts of exactly everything that was said, if things are in person and you're not exactly picking up with the other person is putting down, maybe have a witness in the vicinity or record the audio or something, and I always tell guys to go easy on the alcohol at parties and things like that, if you're both drunk you as the man are the one that they will hold accountable, basically document as much as you can

at work, yeah, i guess things are getting pretty gestapo like. you can always choose to work somewhere else though. the US is a large place (assuming you live there and not some shithole like europe). there are lots of conservative or apolitical companies, states... take your talents there.

nothing ever got achieved by just saying "it cant get worse" because it ALWAYS can. in reality its not that bad. slaves in 17th century managed to breed. you will too. if the current state of affairs bothers you move someplace better, vote and participate in politics (not slacktivism or redditing, im talking about actually real life stuff). everything will be ok.

It's simple.
Women don't(nor are they/were ever expected to) become a better, stronger person and overcome their fear, so they are being controlled by their fear and that creates problems like that. lol

Why are men not afraid of walking at night even if they are more likely to be victims of violent crime ?
Or why could men just march into battles where they would be outnumbered like 40 to 1, but women can't even face 1 single man if they are alone ? (btw 40 armed men are stronger than just 1 for those who need to be reminded of this, so this is not about physical strength)
Why women call men creeps, but men don't do so, and why are women creeped out more then men are ?

When men are afraid, they take things in their own hands. They become stronger, go to the gym, take self-defense lessons and so on. Women are being entitled, just expecting world to change for them and that bad people should just stop existing. But there will always be bad people around. But hey, if you tell a woman to do the same thing that a man does to protect himself, she will call it victim blaming. lol
So whatever, they get assaulted, raped and so on, but when you see their prior behavior and stance about this, you can't seriously feel sorry for them anymore.

Pretty soon society will be so unwelcoming that men will have to become anonymous, much like on reddit, to participate in a healthy way. Like maybe even throw on some kind of Harry Potter invisibility cloaks so they can avoid rousing the attention of women who want to take out their grievances on men.

At the same time men must tolerate basically anything women do without exception, especially wearing almost no clothes even in the office. For that men will have to wear augmented reality contact lenses that gray out or otherwise remove distractions.

From a woman's perspective in this weird future men will not exist at all. It will be like a magical creature that can suddenly appear out of thin air. Probably men will only choose to do this at the points in time during a woman's monthly cycle when she's more mellow to a man's presence.

So sort of we will create an artifical dimension in which men mostly live. Sometimes men will appear in women's dimension in attempts to have sex. Those men who don't live as these magical vanishing creatures will probably just be executed as pests or thrown in prison, until they just die out. The remaining men will mostly not physically manifest anywhere except for when invisible and looking for a good time. Women will not associate this enjoyable encounter with men, simply a good dream or a nice fantasy they had.

Otherwise men will construct woman avatars much like from that silly movie with the blue aliens or whatever. So from women's perspective they will think there are basically only women around.

I think female society will be in a state of disarray when there's no male around to blame for whatever shortcomings there are. Like they will not even have the word for it. So when they feel bad or are angry they will feel as if there's something they just can't conceptualize. Like someone did all this but they just can't utter who that is. They will probably recreate man as some sort of God or Satan figure that they curse and achieve that catharsis through. These will be violent outbursts during which all men stay hidden so as to not become the focus of attention. Elder men will take young men to, from afar, show this behavior and tell the story of men and that should they once again live in the open they will be subject to this violent anger.
