She was French, her uni course was finished. she could go back to France or she could stay in the UK with me.

She wanted to get engaged.

So I had a good long think (this is 18 years pre RP).

She was hot and fucked well. Adventurous and shit.

But she had a high n count. There was definitely a feeling she could cheat. The French have a different marriage deal to anglophone cultures. Plus she seemed a leeetle bit edgy. Not quite crazy yet.... I think I'd been subconsciously "assessing her" for most of the 18 months.

It just didn't feel right. Passed up the opportunity. Broke up about 6 weeks before she went back. Could've stayed shagging for 6 more weeks, she was up for it... But I just decided to fold this hand cleanly and walk away.

Really quite amusing. I spent quite a few years posting on politics boards, so a political tussle with RP posters is like a welcome return to old times. I know how to argue with American wing nuts.

Because RP is so right wing trad/libertarian dominated no one appears to have thought much about what plugging RP into the intellectual left would mean. To the yanks the left is dominated by feminism. I come from a culture where they are fellow-travellers and foot soldiers, but they don't run the left. So, RP is a much more useful "plug in" to the left wing. I can see its potential for kicking off something like a DE of the left. Get those old commies out of retirement, unplug them and the black-bloc (anarchists), roll in the Fabians and the social-democratic left (finally with an accurate model of human behaviour).... Libertarians watch out !

There is massive potential in RP for kicking the left off its current track, and jumping over to a new unexplored track for the left.

Just a question of do we have the big brains left ? Or did they die off with the commies and/or have got sucked into DE. The left needs a new paradigm, a communism replacement. Hopefully we can built on granite and not sand this time round.

Well, I was yanking your chain a little. Let's say an ex Trotskyist for now. Never really liked their model. Goals good, means of achieving goals were lacking in common sense and too prone to highjacking by dark triad types (Stalin... I'm looking at you, dude !).

One of many political leanings I passed through and stole good stuff from. Commies, anarchists, some right wing philosophies, some genuinely weird things. Now I'm just a lefty.

I agree the sex strategy is spot on if you have those preferences. I definitely agree that the majority of heterosexual men and women likely have those preferences--I don't know why anyone denies this. Feminists debate whether there's a point in moralizing about it or not. TRP shows there's a tremendous backlash to moralizing about it.

I smile when you say 'getting goodies for the girls' because of course the comfort women have with their sexuality and the sexual access men have to women are massively facilitated by the increase in gender equality and the disruption of traditional sexual roles. Men would never have the number of sexual partners they have now or have access to as many women capable of enjoying sex if we'd continued in completely traditional roles. For example, in the early days of the sexual revolution there was so much fretting about female frigidity (likely caused by women's feelings of shame about sex). You don't see much talk about frigidity anymore--women aren't as panicked about having sexual feelings as they used to be. So even if you are in a monogamous marriage you benefit. For tens of thousands of years, women were required to be starfish in bed.

Anyway, I'll bet someone on TRP has a counter to this observation. ;)

When you look at the Kinsey Data above a better description appears to be.

Now. Because women have a lot more sex, and can be a lot more slutty, all of those groups benefit.

The top 20% get a lot more. The middle 50% get a better shot, more often, and generally get a few LTRs here and there that keep them having at least some sex (which they wouldn't be getting unless they wifed someone in the old days).

The bottom 30% have got a lower bar to clear. In the past, a woman had to want to hubby them to get laid. Women just didnt want to do it. Now they've got a shot... Theyve got to improve, but a shot is there. Still. They got the worst deal. But they always do. You can't really help that.

I'm just focusing on getting healthy right now. Can't really worry about getting jacked. As all my limbs, with the possible exception of my right arm on the days, are significantly weaker than those of most men. So it's mostly cardio and stuff like sit-ups and push-ups, for about a couple hours a day.

I have trouble understanding your second question. I think my strategy, when I do decide to start actively pursuing sexual relationships, is already fairly purple. I think I've made all necessary adaptations. I do tend to suffer from bouts of one-itis, but that should work itself out once I've had a couple relationships.

Not going to sugar coat it. It's going to be tougher than normal interactions, in normal day-to-day interactions their lizard brain isn't really assessing your genetic fitness. In the "hello darlin'... What you up to tonight ?" conversation they are. You're going to have to bring your A game.

Absolutely the right starting point. Be your ideal weight. Then do whatever you can do add muscle mass. Sounds like this will be harder to add for you, but it'll be even more worth it for you in the end. Build some mass, anyway you can. It's not a perfect adjustment to cover/compensate for a disability, it's just the best available. The fact that it'll help your general health is a bonus. Ancillary benefits, you gotta love them.

Yeah. Get laid a few times. Helps massively with the one-itis. I'd just be assessing every RP nugget and adjusting to my situation. My uncle was heavily disabled. He could have had a satisfying sex life, but he never adjusted. Didn't make changes necessary for his level of disability (severe) and just tries to bull it through. Bad move. Died in his 40s very frustrated (cerebral palsy).

Sounds like your disability is much less severe, he couldn't have done push-ups. RP stuff will help you, you've just got to bend it round your disability. But I'm sure you're used to doing lots of stuff that way... Not as others do it,.. But bent around your personal situation.

Yeah, in some ways you'll have so much more opportunity to develop natural game. As you say, if you're already having to drive conversations early on, and you have to get in quick with something clever or witty.... Thats going to come in extra handy in some situations, know what I'm saying ;) Build you skillz. There is an Iron Temple for the mind available out there, as well as for the body. Use it to develop every day, thats how you get goooooooood

On your actual problems, I'd say that unless talking to a family member or medical professional... I'd try and use some of our cocky/funny techniques more rather than discuss an issue directly. Agree and Amplify, say. Or Amused Mastery.

It gets that cleverness and wit direct into the conversation. It also brushes aside in an unnoticable way discussion of a negative or weak trait.

eh, its never been about the power. I think I was just excited and feeling aggressive. Instinct. I just wanted her. So I took her.

And it wasn't a poor decision at all. All I did was push past some logically-based, but otherwise pretty half-hearted no's. She could have stopped me anytime. She could have been more convincing or even actually pretend like she didn't want to have sex at any time, but she didn't. She just wanted me to take the responsibility for whatever happened off of her. And for what its worth(to BPs, I imagine it isn't), she doesn't consider it rape. In fact, i know she thinks of it as a rather a positive experience. She thought it was very hot and she would have never done it unless I was so assertive.

We had sex multiple times after that, including more "rapes". I know for a fact she actually liked the guy taking an aggressive role in initiation, and consent is generally obvious.

When I was about 21 I had a severe case of oneitis that ended badly. It wasn't a really explosive ending, but more one that really disappointed me when the girl I thought was 'special' turned out to be anything but. This was the 3rd or 4th in a similar pattern so my frustration level was high. A good friend who had broken up with his fiancee 6 mos. prior turned me on to /r/seduction, viewing it as a tool that helped him get back on his feet with women. I frequented that sub for a while, but the signal to noise ratio was poor and solid advice was drowned out by feels and PC bull. One of the first mods invited me to TRP.

When TRP first started, we were basically an offshoot of /r/seduction. Our desire was to discuss game in a realistic and straight talk way without all the white knighting and censorship that comes with a low signal to noise ratio. After a while we started noticing common themes in our collective experience and began to develop theories based off these shared observations.

We had an OPP in the very beginning, along with some rules from my side. My rules and his OPP rule was about keeping ourselves "protected". But over time we have become more secure in our relationship and have pretty much dropped most rules.

We have 2 left, SAFE SEX, so dental dams, condoms etc. Our other rule is no surprises, so if either of us is in a situation that may lead to sex, we always say so up front. For example, my BF went to visit an old flame, and he said before had, maybe they would have sex, that way I don't get surprises (which I don't deal with well) and he gets to still be spontaneous.

A few different factors :

I do believe in AWALT as a motivational approach. Contrary to what I learned as a teenager, men and women do have different approaches to many aspects of life, sexuality and communication being the most important when it comes to relationships. Keep yourself at your best, remember that masculinity is pretty much always attractive, etc. Has she started to avoid sex? Instead of panic, whine about it, communicate, you try to look at it from a different angle. Have you let yourself go? Could there be someone else lurking around? What is her emotional state right now, any issues somewhere else? Then you try to take a rational action.
Nature is harsh and cruel, mating is highly unfair and discriminatory, so you go into dating keeping that in mind. You look for what's best for you, but that doesn't mean you're going to get it. I saw someone talking about considering all relationships as temporal. I like that, as there-s just many things that can go wrong and, in example, being left for another man or being cheated on are things that can happen, so just move on then, that's how it is.
Being yourself is a double-edged sword. Getting philosophical, it's actually not so easy to determine what is yourself, but while it's good to accept who you are, striving for becoming your best self is the ideal course of action.
Responsibility, responsibility, responsibility.

About blue, even with what I wrote above, things can be more complicated than that and different kinds of relationships can work just fine. We're all going through different phases in our life, with many things affecting us, so I don't think it's so rare to see couples that have different goals, directions, strategies, etc. just work fine.

Considering I was a virgin before, definitely yes.

More women?

I was the standard nice guy who was afraid to go near girls. Started going on a few dates about 2 years ago but never got past one date and couldn't figure out why. I now know it's because I was too afraid to let my intentions be known and acted like the nice guy friend on those dates.

I get much more attention from women now than before. Mostly due to lifting but also by improving my frame and being more confident, masculine and dominant.

Better relationship with your SO etc?

Never been in a relationship, always wanted to. Like I wanted this more than anything in the world. Caused me lots of depression for a LONG time.

However after finding TRP, my standards are much higher on what I look for in a LTR so I don't see it happening anytime soon. I don't see being in an LTR as anything special unless I find the right person.

The only difference between pre-TRP and now is that now I don't care about getting an LTR because I don't want to be one of those people that had a bunch of shitty relationships. Also, I have to focus on improving myself at this time.

In terms of my other relationships ie. friends, family, etc. I'm more forward and don't take shit from people if I don't need to. Same with the workplace, I get a lot of respect because I am more confident in myself and my abilities.

You know, I go back and forth about this. Most of the time I do want kids, yes. But sometimes I'll hear my friends who have children talk about their sleepless nights, or complain about how they never get time to themselves anymore, and part of me balks a bit. I see their adorable babies and I think "oh my god, I want one!" but then I come home from work to a quiet, clean apartment, pour myself a glass of wine and settle in to read a good book or watch a TV show and I think to myself, "this is the life!"

Kids are great, but let's face it - there are some great things about not having kids too. I have a lot more free time than my mom-friends. I have a LOT more expendable income than my mom-friends. And, as much as I hate to say this, I look and feel a lot better than my mom-friends. I get plenty of sleep, and have much more time and money to do things like buy/put on makeup, shop for clothes, pay attention to fashion, cook delicious healthy meals, do yoga, and just relax. So I look better and I feel better, and as much as I sigh with envy when I see their baby pictures, they sigh with envy with I talk about my weekend plans.

What you are witnessing in your cohort may reflect the TRP concept of The Wall, or it may just reflect the fact that growing older is not always a painless process

RP would say they are the same thing. That, for chicks, the 30-40 period of "wall approaching, then hitting" is the first stab of that growing older pain for the chicks. One they hadn't felt before, and it's a harsh introduction with a one-way deal. You can't wind back the clock.

I don't think anyone would argue that growing older doesn't involve change - change in your body, change in your life circumstances, change in your friendships. Where TRP gets it wrong, I think, is in their assumption that all of that change is for the worse.

Nah, all of the growing older stuff is not for the worse, lots of big benefits accrue. It's just for female sexual strategy it's all pretty much bad news.

The benefits are elsewhere, if you are a chick that wants a hubby and kids then it's all bad news 30-40. No need for hubby ? No need for kids ? Well.... It can be all sorts of things for those gals... But if kids and hubby are on the bucket list ? Hurry up.

I think this is an overly simplistic view. First of all, in terms of physical beauty there are much larger differences between women than within the same woman over time. Absolutely. But you are assuming two things here. The first is that women's personality gets more attractive with age. RP would say this is actually rarely the case. That they get more entitled, and pick more selfish sexual strategies, as they age. So we'd say this ain't balancing out the ageing problem.

Second, well say that attractiveness overwhelms many other factors for men. We're wired differently to you. So any woman looking at the SMP and applying her personal feelings concerning personality to it is almost certainly massively overestimate the credit she is getting for this with guys. We really are quite simple creatures.

So, yeah, it's an effect ... If you're personality does improve... It does help you a little. But we'd just say it helps slow the decline as the attractiveness/youth issue overwhelms it easily.

TRPers drastically overestimate the extent to which women want to date much older men. That 9/10 40 year old guy is competing with 9/10 30 year old guys, and the 9/10 30 year old guy is going to do better with 25-30 year old women because when push comes to shove, those women prefer guys their own age.

To give an example, I have a friend who is single at 30. She's really pretty, and never has any trouble getting dates (your 9/10). She told me once that a guy lied about his age to get a date with her - he said he was 37 when he was really 41. He was very handsome - your 9/10 41 year old trying to score the 9/10 30 year old, like you describe - but she told me she wasn't going to go on a second date with him because he lied, and also because he was just 'too old for her.' Even 37 was pushing it for her. She can get 9/10 guys her own age, and those are the guys she prefers to date.

As people get older, the dating pool shrinks. Period. It doesn't matter if you are male or female. And the attractive folks will ALWAYS do better than the unattractive folks, regardless of gender.

Guys like to date down in age, girls like to date up. 30 yo males, or even 35 yo, are still in a target rich environment due to this.

Girls like to date up, and at 30... Those up cohorts are cleane out of good guys. They all been snagged. At 35 it's worse. And they can't date down... They don't really want to and the guys below them don't want to date up.

So the shrinking females get at 30-40 never really happens that way for guys due to the different dynamics. Our "wall" happens for different reasons in the 40-50 range.

Your example ? She's 30. She ain't seen her SMP change yet. Whatsmore... 11 years ?... To big a gap for anyone but chad. 4-6 years is the sweet spot. Most girls happy in that range. To answer the wierd thing a little more.

Back when I was younger and full up in the game, I played the strong stoic alpha will kick your ass type. I am sure everyone knows the type. Now that I am 40, I cant really play the same game as before. Or a better way to put that is; that kinda game works a lot better when you are younger. Now that I am older I need to play a different game, the stoic older man who knows more than you. This is a much different game with different skills and abilities needed.

Playing this type of game has shown really to work better with a little older than top SMV young girls. I will also have to get back to you in 6 months after I work on my fitness a little more as well. I have let my fitness decline the last couple years. I age really well and look younger than my age but could get more play with a stronger exterior.

The game is pretty much the same, entry and exit criteria has changed dramatically however.

Two major things. First, I do have some core differences from TRP. I do not believe in "The Wall". I do not believe the only solution to being sexually successful is looking like Hugh Jackman in Wolverine, and I do not believe TRP is essentially a religion through which to view the world. I see it as a tool that can be used to explain social dynamics, not interpret history (as I've seen done) not interpret politics (as I've seen done) and not as an excuse to shit on the less fortunate whether it be looks, money, social skills etc.

I agree with TRP as far as how they've uncovered social dynamics to function, and the nature of women, but some TRP beliefs do go to extremes, which are misrepresentations of reality. I was once a well known TRP'er when I was much angrier at women. I'm still angry with women but not enough anymore that I'm willing to be intellectually dishonest.

People were able to change my opinion over time.
