I just saw an Instagram post about narcissistic abuse and a lot of the comments said “and financial abuse”.

So for a lot of the man/woman debates I see a pretty direct correlation between sexual needs for men and financial needs for women. Most relationships men are there for sex and women are there for financial security.

But classifying sex as a necessity for men or even a transactional agreement with women is automatically villainized. I think this is purposefully so that men’s need in the relationship is always toward the bottom. This is why bed rooms die because women strangle the transactional agreement.

I absolutely support consent, I don’t think anyone should be doing anything they didn’t agree to. This includes sharing their labor.

So why don’t men get to consent to sharing the fruits of their labor. How is this abuse? Why are men forced into financial relationships they don’t want to be in.

Edit:

What I’m talking about is a man and woman are married, years down the road they both decide it’s over. She doesn’t work and he does. He is required to pay for her still or it is financial abuse. He is required to pay for everything until they are divorced then probably pay alimony.

Or you are married and they refuses to work and says I want to go out every Friday. If you say “well get a job because you’re not doing it with my money” this is considered financial abuse.

Basically a spouse or partner is entitled to half or more of the income with zero return of labor or effort.
