Not ok imo. This was my exact situation. I was the breadwinner in a long dead bedroom marriage with an asexual man. I tried to fix it and there was no fixing that. He was cool with me being a desperately unhappy involuntary celibate person who provided for him. I didn’t cheat, against my moral code. I eventually divorced him and had to pay. It was worth it.

No. If there is an expectation of exclusivity in the relationship, you’re not willing to divorce when things go south, but also aren’t prepared to honor your commitment unconditionally…. Why enter into a monogamous marriage? Why go behind your partners back and betray them like that when ethical non-monogamy is an option? Find a partner who is open to that arrangement and agrees to it from the start or don’t get married.

If it is a contractual marriage, why not open up the relationship and allow the other party to have sex with other people with the condition of no baby and no stds? This way it would not be cheating as you got the blessing of the other to satisfy your sexual needs somewhere else.

I disagree with you that it would be ok to cheat on your partner in this scenario. But I don't think you’ve thought through enough scenarios if this meets your bar for “ok to cheat” but you can't think of anything else that does, as I can think of more extreme scenarios. Like what if someone has no family or friends that they are in contact with, are in an abusive relationship where they are worried for their life and there are no shelters near them that they can go to, but they could find temporary housing if they cheated?

Going by your logic, another one is if she is a pos but has nowhere to go with her child from previous marriage. Not necessarily that the current man makes a lot of money. In case of divorce she will receive nothing since all the property is owned by his parents, and she will live on the street with her child. Thoughts on this one?

This is probably my r/trueunpopularopinion take. It’s stupid for people to expect their partners to stay loyal if you’re denying them of sex for a long time and refuses to acknowledge why.

Probably best thing to do is to open the marriage before going around their back though.

Well a breadwinner should have it open on his end regardless especially if hes in the top one percent. If a woman is like that or starts to become manipulative and controlling then that would be very painful to have to come home to if not more at times than a dead bedroom.

So i vote for that one to be a valid one but both or pretty much neck and neck. Of course there are a multitude of issues that can lead ones eyes to wander. Maybe you just mean the only situation where you feel its 100% justified and should be accepted as reasonable.

Especially with being a breadwinner and all so its already a task in itself to not just sleep around since you got alot more options now being a success.
