As an average girl, I’m able to “pretty” myself up and wear cute clothes and feel cute and get attention for being cute. As an average man I would just be there. Literally just there. No socially acceptable option to “cute” myself up. I’d just be there. And get no attention whatsoever because why?

I used to live in Southeast Asia and East Africa. In some parts, I couldn't walk down the street without a row of motorcycle taxi guys yelling "hello sir motobike???" One used to pop up from out of nowhere every time I left my house: "hello boss, we go to [company where I worked]?!"

I know they were only trying to make a living but it got old. I imagine it'd get even older if men were yelling at me not as a potential client but because I had a vagina they wanted to sample.

A higher propensity towards fear and anxiety. Women generally score higher on neuroticism and tend to be physically weaker. God knows in certain areas I am scared as fuck knowing I wouldn't be able to physically defend myself adequately.

Lack of respect in regards to achievement. Society just doesn't really care all that much about what Women achieve in the public sphere. A Woman becoming powerful doesn't really gain the admiration of Men. Whereas a powerful Man can gain the admiration of Men and Women. Sucks for Women who really desire that.

Getting Pregnant. That shit does not seem fun.

The stigma on men expressing their emotions and being vulnerable/crying/admitting they’re having a rough time. It often seems like anger is the only emotion they’re expected to express and that’s just not good for anyone

I feel bad for ~40-50 year old women losing their looks and the privileges that come with it. Must be a much bigger mental shock compared to the typical aging man, that generally never has much privilege from their looks anyways.

The fact that women have a biological clock and can't work at having a family and a career at the same time while being efficient at both.

For the women that are interested in having a career and a family that would be a problem I can understand.

As a man the only way you are having a family is if you get your life in order so there is no conflict nor time limit.

I thought about this and idk if I have empathy for men specifically if I’m being honest.

I do emphasize with people who entered adult world with a solid, and maybe naive, set of values and ethics, and got fucked over in love by seemingly selfish, self serving assholes. That’s a gender neutral experience that’s usually at the heart of ones bitterness for the opposite sex.

The naive evangelical sweet as pie virgin 21 year old version of me genuinely empathizes with anyone who’s been heartbroken for no other reason than loving and trusting someone enough. I do think it’s devastating to have an internal battle with your own set of values and question whether being a good honest sweet person is a advantageous thing to be.

I love cooking but haven’t cooked for a man in years. That’s the lingering bitternesss...I don’t want my sweetness to be taken advantage of so I don’t labor for men I’m dating but will do back flips for my friends and family. Having heart break change you/make you scared to love The opposite sex to your fullest capacity is pretty depressing. This feminist YEARNS to full on cater to those I love (I mean meals, cleaning, packing lunches, massages after work, you name it). But then that voice in my head turns on and says “we’ve been here before. He’s just going to take take take and never recripocate. Put that skillet away.” I genuinely understand that this same struggle sent a lot of men TRP for a cope.

The pressure on men to be manly, and not show emotions and how this cripples their mental health and relationships. Boring clothes. Could still play with makeup, but less likely to, again, because of pressure to be manly. Less likely to wear dresses and as a result, less comfortable.

Being pretty much mandatory to approach the opposite sex if you want to get anywhere, and how hard that must be if you're shy/anxious/autistic etc.

Being at the mercy of women when it comes to pregnancy and children, especially if you're adamantly childfree and are faced with some life-ruining nightmare scenario of her suddenly changing her mind at the last second, or bait and switching. Being a childfree dude who doesn't want to remain celibate forever must be terrifying.

The fact that men are so stigmatized for having emotional needs/ seeking to get them met. Like, it must be really, really hard to live a life where you're expected to get ALL your comfort and validation and reassurance from romantic partners and maybe your mom. Even in a silly example, I know it would suck to not be able to, say, post on Facebook "I'm really upset right now, please send me affection/dog pics/whatever" and know that your friends will message you to see you're okay and send you funny stuff to cheer you up, and I feel like guys would get really stigmatized for doing that sort of thing, especially if they're straight.

I'd like to note I empathize with things I normally empathize with as well, like someone being bullied, but I'll list stuff I particularly empathize more with on women:

-Sexual harrasment, rape.-expectations to need to conform to female gender roles in general, and the prejudice that comes with that. There's a lot more detail I could go into but this sum it up.

-Not being taken asseriously, having to prove your competence, and being expected to be supportive instead of the driving force.

-Dealing with creeps, stalkers and general harrasment from as young as hitting puberty.

-Having been oppressed by many groups of men throughout history, and usually having less rights as a result.

-Being physically weaker and men being aggressive, thus having to rely on others for protection more.

-How much of your value to society is placed on looks, even though you are aging like anyone else would.-

Bleeding every month.

-Giving birth.

-Trying to get into industries dominated by men.

There's probably a bunch more, but I'm too busy being salty at women and soceity in general :'D

Circumcision and the draft. These are human rights issues and I feel that men are genuinely wronged by these practices. Men should have bodily autonomy and shouldn’t have their genitals mutilated without consent or their bodies sacrificed on the battlefield.

Also having to repress a basic bodily function and reflex (crying) because of toxic masculinity in our culture. I love crying and I feel so much better and clearer after, I’d hate to feel guilty or unable to cry. That’s a lot of stress hormones bottled up inside, no wonder men die earlier.

I have a lot of empathy for genetically bottom 10% of women and those with mental/behavioral afflictions. I always try to say something to them, be kind, and treat them as human beings.

At the same time, I’m disgusted by women who were genetically gifted and let themselves go to shit.

It effects us all but I think even though it's much less common in men, rape can be even worse to deal with.

Otherwise it's boys who get bullied for not being stereotypical enough. It's painful because they really have almost nowhere to get support. Man's rights geoups are filled with toxic masculine ideas, women are more focused on our issues and if you're not gay you really have no healthy community to turn to.

Another one is fathers who actually are good (not the ones doing the bare minimum and blaiming the child's mother for everything) and healthy for the child but for whatever reason they either are overworked or pushed away

Decision about being a parent. I think men should have the right to a financial/legal abortion in the same places and same time frame that women are allowed to abort.

The draft too. It sucks for men to be automatically put in when they register to vote. Joining the military should always be optional. They have enough incentives to recruit people anyway. They should get rid of the draft.

Mgm. Men and boys should be able to choose whether or not they want their foreskin.
