Why hasn't TRP been banned yet?

Put simply, TRP tries really hard to keep its nose clean and not give the admins any excuse. Take the archive.today requirement for example. Theoretically it'd be enough to require just a no-participation link when discussing other threads in other subs. But the TRP mods take the extra step of requiring an outside archive site when linking to other subs, thus putting in more distance between TRP and the other sub and making it impossible to argue that the mods encourage brigading.

One reason could be that the admins regard it as a containment sub.

The manosphere isn't exactly 'popular' per se, but reddit's core demographic (young men) are probably the most likely to be drawn to it, and having a dedicated sub/ couple of subs to discuss the ideas it raises prevents posters hellbent on discussing it from shitting up other subs.

Should the sub become more trouble than it's worth, or they pull an FPH and start putting photos of targets on their sidebar, I'd imagine that the admins would enthusiastically nix it.

Lack of brigading and harassing individuals. If you look at a lot of un PC subs that have been removed, they have actively attacked individuals, posted photos, and brigaded. By obeying Reddit's rules, TRP has survived.

FPH got too cocky especially when they started directly and personally attacking Imgur staff. TRP keeps itself to itself and is essentially a cash cow.

People who think reddit cares more about being PC than ad dollars are living in a persecution fantasy. There has been so much investment in reddit and it's still not profitable. I promise you reddit's leadership cares way more about making money than 'sanitizing' their website.

TLDR - it's not banned because reddit thinks keeping controversial subs around is better for their long-term growth.

A better question is why SHOULD TRP be banned? Before immoral subreddits like /r/morbidreality or /r/watchpeopledie? If it's not about morals but about manipulation, why isnt /r/seduction or /r/socialengineering banned? Rap songs have a lot of woman hating lyrics, why are they still on this site? There ar LITERALLY subs of pictures of beaten women. Why are they not banned??

What IS so terrible about trp, that we should be concerned about banning it over subs that are LITERALLY about killing, murders, and manipulation, and actual songs about actually justifying hurting women? That it needs to be the first to go?

My guess to why is because it comes close to the actual truth. Other subs you can easily ignore because they are judged easily. They are objectively bad. Bad people are bad and its a done deal. while trp is at the cusp. "Are you insufferable trash so I can say I pity you and put you in this box, or are you niceguys I can pretend to admire online, hurry up and tell me! Are you incels and nerds so I can make fun of you?! I don't want you to learn things I can't help but be attracted to and you still look like good people! You can't have it all! It's not fair! Blah blah" We all dislike about hearing truth and women dislike men learning about the truths of what attracts them, and they dislike admitting what they are attracted to themselves. It's like men having to learn that women are branch swingers and go through an anger phase. To learn to step in this world with a healthy sense of realism rather than naivety, despite those who fell victim before you. To those who want to ban trp, maybe you're going through an anger phase too about who you are.

To anyone who cares, words and text online are just that, words. I'd like to believe freedom of speech still stands.

TRP just hovers below the threshold of what should be banned. Ultimately, the subs who got banned were blatantly doxxing (FPH), brigading and came out as a straight up hate sub (Niggerhate).

TRP does none of that and actively works to ensure that is not done.

I think the biggest reason it's still around is because people love to hate things. It's fun. Have you seen how passionate some people get just about movies they hate?

The Red Pill is also a perfect example of sexism in the modern world, and feminists, (mostly those on reddit), love holding it up as proof that any ill word spoken about feminism comes from toxic, hateful, and lonely men. Ever notice that most blue pillers don't make a distinction between TRP and the MRM?

I make Reddit money on their attractive Reddit Gold program, just by hating women and posting about it. Controversial shit like this also draws more traffic, which means more ad revenue.

Until this shit starts actually losing Reddit money instead of making Reddit money, it's going to stay.

Stupidass online petitions and Reddit threads complaining and linking to offensive material aren't the way to go. TRP's detractors really need to be smarter than that. Get major advertisers (are there any?) to pull their ads and tell Reddit why, or to begin the process of making an a deal, then pull out, citing TRP as the reason. Goad some TRP idiots into actually harassing you in the real world and send proof. Threaten to sue Reddit - a lawsuit will cost them more than they make on the material.
