The advice here is to approach women as much as possible but there's actually very few places where you can approach women.

For an average guy who doesn't get eyed up or approached by women, here's the reality

  • Bars: Most women are in groups in separate tables, you only rarely see someone at the bar open to be approached.

  • Clubs: Women have their guard up and their friends come to the rescue. And you really can't have a conversation in clubs

  • Street: Same, guard up, some will talk to you but success rate is very low

  • Stores: Easy to talk to women but low success rate, good option though

  • Libraries / Bookstores: Very few people coming through but good option

  • Meetups: unless it's a bar event, most meetups are sausage fests or older people. Also most meetups have the same group of people most of the time

  • Gym: Most women have headphones in, not to be bothered

  • Sports / Hiking / Climbing : Good option if you find the right group and you can talk to new people

  • Volunteering: Good option but again, usually filled with older people

  • Parties: Great option if you know some people there.

If you're in college, then your chances are really good, as everyone is in a similar situation and there's new people every year

If you're not, then you run into the problems above

Edit: Okay, maybe not very rare but I can't change the title I wrote what has been my own experience. Maybe it's excuses, even if it is, some of you are as helpful as a blank notebook
