The openers described in the article are basically what i'd call the most typical and expected ways to game girls. It's the kind of thing that RSD would advise in a seminar for newbies.

"excuse me, there's just something about you" really? Maybe that's true, maybe there is something about that girl in particular - but from the way the article explained, it sounded like he would do this (verbatim or otherwise) to every girl he saw. Talk to lots of girls? Great. Talk to lots of girls using variations of "omg there's something about you?" mechanical, automated, and a clever guise for insincerity. I feel like the guise being used here is sincerity - that's extremely complex.

The stuff works, of course. The "I just want to hug you, can I hug you?" with a smile on your face bit "works" almost 99% of the time. And maybe he actually wants to hug the girl, sure. But i'm also fairly certain that he said it that way because it's been formulated and validated in his head that it receives the most positive response the most often. To me, that's input-output interaction. I don't know. I just wasn't all that impressed by it.

After reading the story, I found it rather fascinating that his philosophy is that he simply validates people. John's compliments are genuine and unique as well, and it is coming a from place of non-neediness in that he is not searching for anything. Anyway, good find OP.

I've tried getting into pickup several times, and I'm currently on my fourth attempt. What always killed it for me before is what seemed to be the cunning and manipulative aspect - get as many girls as possible to have sex with you, never tell them they're pretty because it's so beta, never listen when a girl tells you about a problem and needs emotional support because it's so AFC. I hated it, and I consciously decided every single time that I'd rather be lonely, single, and still a kind and loving person than a manipulative, selfish prick who has no time for people who won't give him sex or social proof to get sex from other people.

This post is an amazing breath of fresh air. It's exactly what I needed to hear, thank you.

Interesting article, I think that his approach is largely tailored to his outgoing personality. For those of us who are more introverted, we can still have success even if we're not bouncing off/colliding with a million people in mini-interactions. Certainly it's better to talk to too many rather than too few people, but just because he is successful does not mean that this life is for everybody.

I think the key things to take away are:

He genuinely loves girls and talking to them. He's not trying to get anything out of the interaction and they can sense that.
He validates the people he talks to, and they feel good about themselves as a result of listening to him

So outcome independence and social validation. Not entirely novel concepts in seduction, but they can clearly be extremely powerful when used in the right way.

I think that most of the hate that this guy receives is from people who are too insecure to overcome their fears and talk to strangers, surrendering themselves to the uncertainty of reality.

I'm bored. It's too cold to go out. I'm doing laundry and wasting time on reddit as usual and this was on the front page, competing for attention span with everything else in the universe, and i clicked and read the article and it was pretty good. Not that i'm likely to rush out and implement the techniques, but i keep letting myself get exposed to this approach and eventually some of it will rub off.

Thank you for insisting that we all read this article. I do very well with women. I'm a photographer so my dating pool is composed mostly of models but I was really inspired by the article. I really enjoyed how he described the PUA as someone who just loves everyone and he talks to everyone, not just hot women he wants to date. He truly loves people. I think we, who identify with the common trait of wanting to use PU techniques to increase our success with women, should use the tips from that great article. Genuinely be interested in people and try to create those wonderful collisions. Control chaos as he states.

Towards the end of November I had a bad pain in my stomach, went to the hospital and the doctor without a simple blood test sent me home stating that it was something viral that would resolve itself within 5 days and not to worry. I went ahead and a few days later I could barely move. It so happened that I had an appendicitis and it ended up rupturing on Wednesday and the pain increased throughout the week I was taken to the hospital again in a lot of pain and after a quick blood work they were operating urgently on me within 2 hours. I had a horrible peritonitis as the rupture had happened on Wed apparently. I ended up having 4 abdominal surgeries in less than a week. The surgeon and the rest of doctors on my team were in agreement that I shouldn't have survived. I was in the ICU for almost two months. I spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, in a bed in the hospital. But the thing is that during that whole time, I made it a point to stay positive and to try and talk to ask my nurses and doctors and get to truly know them.

My ICU nurses were wonderful and genuinely talking to them and finding out their stories created this awesome effect in which they all were so interested in me surviving. A couple of them I can tell would go out on a date with me and many of them stop by every morning to say hi to me in the new floor I was moved to. I got the news that finally I am going to be released in about two weeks. After 3 months in the hospital, this article you kindly shared with us gave me a great incentive. When I get out, I'm going to make it my purpose to be more outgoing and interact with a lot more people. Life is beautiful and so short. We should all control that beautiful chaos the article talks about and become more socially successful people and have the beautiful side effect of having more success with women. Thanks again!! :)

His ideas and style resonate with me, it's hard to find someone in this community who's acting based on honesty and authenticity, without any scripts and manipulation. Although John seems like a good guy and has a pretty kick ass life philosophy, this;

verge's on pathological. I presume this is only how he appears to be from the outside. Someone who is that reliant on external forces to sustain their energy and wellbeing would not be able to maintain such success for very long.

To be a well adjusted individual, one must learn to love and accept solitude as much as they love and accept people.
