When a girl sends a good selfie you should reward that.

Good behaviour -> treat (compliment). Especially when its a more sexual selfie you have to tell her good that looks and what she can expect when meeting you next time.

If you want more good selfies of her then you will have to reward that behaviour.

When she sends a selfie and you reply with "oh nice curtains you got there son", you won´t get shit.

I assume in the sets you mentionend it was already lost.

It depends enterely how she sees you.

If she thinks you are such a great catch, one in a million, the perfect guy on earth, etc. Your compliments will make her extremely happy.

If she is unsure about you, a compliment may make her think you are lower value than her.

Is she thinks you are not attractive, a compliment may make her feel harassed or make you look like a simp.

Nah if a woman likes you she wants to hear that you think she looks good, just don't let that be the only thing that you compliment her on.

Has not been my experience. A genuine compliment from me has basically been a sealed deal in the past.

It’s best not to compliment looks until you’ve slept with them.

If they send a hot selfie or something, reward them by messaging back quickly or complimenting them on something they created (their style etc) not looks related.

Girls want to feel desirable for something other than their looks. If they want their looks complimented they can just walk by a construction site.

I think you can, just not the way you described. If you’re gonna compliment looks, be specific and/or transition out of it yourself.

If it’s gonna be as generic as “wow, you’re good looking” you gotta segue into something. You can’t just compliment and leave it like that, it can make things awkward. In this case it should be a side comment during the main topic of the conversation. “Wow, you’re good looking, anyway, like I was saying, Dino nuggets are my jam and anyone who isn’t down with that becomes my sworn enemy and rival.”

Specifics could be like “I like how you did x, it looks really good on you. I feel like most people do y and it takes away from the whole thing. Anyway, Dino nuggets…”

It’s all in the delivery and timing

“Damn you’ve got a great body” potentially creepy

“I mean look at you, you clearly don’t eat a lot of greasy food” seems well received (obviously context is important for this one, you’re not gonna just shoehorn it in, it’s a good one for setting a date, “let’s go get sushi” “how did you know I love sushi?!” “I mean look at you…”)

But realistically, you wanna be complimenting her personality, her style, well before you compliment her body.

If you can word a compliment that sounds like it’s doing both, odds are she’s never heard it before and you stand out from the crowd, which is exactly what you want to be doing

You're grasping at straws if you think the reason a woman stops responding to you, is based on complimenting her or not. It's more likely they're just not into you. People either click or don't. Looks and charm and all that other stuff can help, but in the end you have to be into each other's personality, energy, and be compatible.

I find that reacting in a humorous and teasing manner more successful.

Example: girl sends me a cute pic, she’s posing or in a nice outfit and it was completely self initiated.

My response: do you send cute selfies to all guys you meet or just me?

Alternative response: wow that tree in the background looks epic

These are just examples but I tailor it based on the chemistry I have with her, prior jokes I’ve made etc.

If I’ve already had sex with her or we came close to on our previous date then I might escalate physically more quickly if it’s a sexy pic, like I might say: “I’m coming over in 20 mins. Keep that sexy outfit on”

I believe OP makes this post for the dweebs that have a cold approach system that goes: “Hi there, I think you’re cute, can I have your phone number?” In this case, you’re trying to establish contact; it’s too easy to say the wrong thing and come off creepy.

Once you’re to the point of getting a second or third date, you can be complimentary (“Wow, you look great!”) without the risk of being creepy or patronizing.

It’s expected to give the constructive criticism to the gal after you’ve established a relationship. I’ve been with my GF for 5 years, so I can be forthright when her hair, makeup, & clothes all look great; I also don’t have a problem telling her “Honey, those shoes do not go well with that dress.” or “Your hair needs some help in the back.”
