I'll preface this by saying this is the first time I've been in love -- but I've been in a couple of relationships before and what I feel for her is far different.

We took it slow enough in the beginning, but both of us stopped seeing other people by the end of the first month. She was so easy to hang out with and have fun. We shared plenty of interests and had a similar sense of humor -- she was really the first girl who "got" me, with little to no reservations. I was admittedly guarded at first, but the more time I spent with her the easier it was to open up to her. I felt that I could truly be myself and she wouldn't judge me or be turned away.

I knew I was in love with her about a month after we had become exclusive. I reached a point where I just couldn't see enjoying my days the same way without her in it. It wasn't just great sex and bonding over horror movies or dark jokes. I was made immeasurably more happy just thinking about her, texting with her, seeing her smile. I missed her any time she wasn't around.

Our normal routine was to hang out on Fridays and/or Saturdays. She went back one Sunday midday to meet up with friends, and I went to hang out with my friends. We both were texting each other all through that time. I went home and was ready to go to bed, when she hit me up and asked if she could come over. So she came over, we did it, and fell asleep. When I woke up early that morning I was overcome with emotion. The most beautiful and most fun person I had ever known was resting on my chest, in my arms -- I couldn't believe I was that lucky. Whatever came over me, I had to say something to her as we cuddled.

"Babe, I really like you."

"I really like you too."

"In fact, I...I love you."

My heart dropped out of my chest in that moment. But she snuggled me tighter and said "I love you too."

And then she told me she knew how I felt, since I had said it to her in my sleep a couple of weeks ago 😆.

We had our 9 month anniversary a few weeks ago. We've had our ups and downs, and our frustrating personality quirks that the other has had to deal with. But I have only been crazier for her with each passing day. We're not in a rush, but we both feel we've found the one we want to spend our lives together with.

My wife before she was my wife gave me all the rope to hang myself with. She didn't pressure me, ask me what are we, etc. I was honest with her at the time that we weren't exclusive and I was dating two other girls at the time.

But eventually the lack of pressure and her being smart and feeding me well and giving me space is what made me fall for her. Most women go the exact opposite way. They pressure e a guy, ask him what are we, smother him until he either caves in reluctantly and unhappily or runs away.

Till this day, I've got a soft spot for her.

She was genuinely a good girl. I was her first. She was mine. She had trauma, so did I. We were both broken but in the end...she was just too afraid, traumatized and shy to communicate good or bad.

She would literally just shut down. Again, good or bad. I didn't handle her right. My communication was completely open and direct. I would spell things out for her. Yet she would freeze. She remembers the relationship in a positive light. I remember it as a negative.

Met someone very recently. It is perhaps too soon to make conclusions that won't sound totally naïve in a few months, but I actually feel in love for the first time in my life (46m). And I can't explain it. It is always more than just "perfect on paper". She's independent but wants to do things with me. She doesn't need me to complete her, but I compliment her, and her me. I (25M) just fell in love once when I was 14-15 yo maybe, I am not sure bc she was a lady so close to me and I didn't release I like her too much.

I fell in love for her bc since the beginning she show me that she was someone trusted and keep it until now. she was so affectionate, very kindness, always trait with respect everyone, warm, funny, easygoing, etc.
