I haven’t commented here in so long bc of the messages i get from males but this literally brought tears to my eyes. This is so painful to read and then to see the pictures at the end. That’s so traumatizing. In front of our families at our fucking wedding!? dude.

That poor bride. My uncle acted a fucking fool at his wedding and embarrassed the hell out of my tia in front of all her friends+family and I felt so bad for her bc she’s so kind and she didn’t deserve to be w a piece of shit like my uncle and that made me sad but this just ruined my whole day. I feel so bad for that woman. If anyone ever finds an update please tell me :)

i’m trying not to get angry but this is just really sad. I’m genuinely in boohoo tears, I feel so horrible for that woman idk how many times i can say it but i hope to hood she left that man bc he doesn’t love her. He can’t even respect her enough to let her be a princess on one day. More than likely he was angry she was getting attention and looked beautiful bc for that one day everything’s supposed to be about HER so he ruined everything on her bc of his fragile ego. Her hair, her makeup, her dress, her everything.

Wedding cakes aren’t whipped cream there’s sticks and boxes in it to keep them up. My uncle had a 2 tier cake and it needed sticks and a base in the middle to keep it from collapsing on itself.

The loser really hurled 20lbs at her and he was so close to her too. I can only imagine how much it hurt physically. And then also add in the emotional trauma he gave to her. My heart actually hurts for that woman

Ok hey hey hi from a soldier and ex-wedding planner. I just want to address some scrote logic here because I am done with people downplaying other's trauma by comparing it to "bullets in a warzone". We have the support of our unit and the camaraderie of our friends while deployed, not to mention we signed up for it and are well trained to deal with it. It's always scrotes who've never served sprouting this bullshit.

SECONDLY. Wedding cakes have skewers in them to keep them together. They are heavy. This is why we take it out to the kitchen for the chef to cut. I do not want an expensive cake full of wood thrown at me thanks! Certainly not in front of my family and friends. It's supposed to be a day of joy, not a day of humiliation and hurt from someone I'm supposed to be spending my life with. I saw that video. I want to think that they’re the kind of couple who just always does shit like this, and she wasn’t upset about it. I know people who literally find stuff like this funny, and would not be doing any of this in anger.

But we all know that’s not this. He didn’t do this to her because he knew she would laugh. He was doing it in anger. Because he’s a little boy who had his fee fees hurt by her doing something playful.

Never mind that I find the whole cake smear thing absolutely disgusting and disrespectful, and when I got married I had to pitch a whole fit and a half, threatening annulment if he tried it.

But also, that nasty laugh at the end isn’t the groom, it’s the person filming.

I would have demanded the freshly signed papers from the commissioner and torn them up on the spot followed by a call to the police for assault and battery. This POS is obviously a batterer since she shrunk away a bit when he stormed over. If he's willing to pull this shit in front of witnesses, on their wedding day no less, we can only imagine how much worse it is for her behind closed doors. This is why spaces like fds matter. Instead of just repeating the symptoms of abusive behaviour, we actually dissect their sources, precursors and origins. Everyone talks big about how abuse and battery is bad but when you point out clear precursors for disrespect that lead to said battery and abuse, everyone will say you're overreacting or need to lighten up. Violent behaviour doesn't spring up in a vacuum. This is a man venting his anger and hatred physically at his wife. People will turn a blind eye to women being victimised and be shocked when she ends up dead or injured.
