I've seen this happen many times where women ( and men) who didn't have their hoe phase decided they needed to later on but I'll use one friend as an example.

She married as a virgin in her early 20's to a nerdy guy in medical school. ( BB right up front).

12 years later they get bored and curious and decide to open things up. Of course, he didn't realize how much easier she would have it and decided he no longer wanted this. By this time shes basically in love with a handsome buff food service guy. (AF time)

Yes this is one example, there are many. Enough to make me think that in reality it's an almost necessary experience.

Also I've noticed that many women who settle down before 25 tend to turn their lives upside down at 25-26 and then basically just recreate and come full circle before settling down again.

I think a little hoe phase is beneficial to both sexes as well as not settling down too early.

That's said I would keep in mind that you'll likely want a fair balance later on so if either sex gets too wild with it they may be limiting their number of potential partners in the future.

I guess I'd caution the mindset on this concept because if she didn't front load her hoe phase, you may be setting yourself up for it to come later.

Old wisdom would call this sewing your wild oats and recognized the necessity.

ETA. Ive been misspelling it, it's "sow" or "sowing"

I'll amend this to say I'm only partly right here. If we're to believe religiously funded studies..... Short of a virgin which I don't think is even relevant in secular circles, 3-9 is best but don't be number two.

"In short: if you're going to have comparisons to your [future] husband, it's best to have more than one."

Number of partners in relation to divorce.

Women with 10 or more partners were the most likely to divorce, but this only became true in recent years; Women with 3-9 partners were less likely to divorce than women with 2 partners; and, Women with 0-1 partners were the least likely to divorce.

Biggest predictors of infidelity

Partner count was not a predictor but several factors that are essentially, as they say, maintaining frame.

"A person's history of sex was a predictor of infidelity, too. Men who reported having more short-term sexual partners prior to marriage were more likely to have an affair, while the opposite was true for women."

Uh, oh. Tbf this supports the idea that hoe phase as a predictor of infidelity is in fact projection on men's part.

So it looks like in regards to marriage....go for a virgin or go for someone with a bit of experience.

In regards to infidelity......go for a woman with a hoe phase.
