Depends whos there lol. Some of their advice is so pickme and gross like one thread where a woman's husband didn't want her to wear a "revealing dress" that went down to her ANKLES and someone suggested "Why don't you try it on in front of him and twirl and pout and say I thought you liked ittt". Like.. as a grown woman, I'm not about to argue with my husband about what I can wear.

But I do think there is helpful advice when it comes to the overall structure of relationships, getting over ego problems, being more feminine. Of course there are some fucking nutjobs over there as well, but most of the women are well meaning and intelligent.

Many of the women there are married to or dating loser men and trying in vain to reimagine them as masculine, they want to try and mommy a man into being a man. They are married to men who are picky eaters, men who cannot hold down a job, men with substance abuse problems, men who are emotional three year olds. Many of them picked the wrong mates but rather than admit that they are trying to frame themselves into the relationship they want and lie to themselves about who they picked all under the guise of traditional ladypersonhood.

The fetiishize weird basic adult skills like cooking and sewing and meal planning and budgeting. I understand a lot of people don't know how to do those things because of weird parenting but I do not relate to them at all.

RedPill wives has a super cringe thread from a woman trying to turn the family finances back over to a husband who has a long history of not paying bills, secret credit cards and overall blowing any available cash. It hurt me to read, fortunately most of the other wives control some or all of the finances and there was some reasonable recommendation.

I just don't understand it, why would you risk your ability to give your kids quality of life and your own retirement just to enable a pseudo tradcon relationship component.

And there is another post from a poor beat down wife who's husband is clearly running Dread on her by threatening hes going to have a threesome and always reminding her how lucky she is he's sacrificing monogomy for her. Even during sex. Feel bad for her and all the "boys will be boys" advice.

No. It's about playing into the male imperative, especially now. It's plate-school: how to be a forever-gf who turns into a doormat and never really gets what she wants out of life or out of her relationship. It's for women who want the security of being attached one way to someone, and that's pretty much all she can expect.

There's no really solid, accurate advice place for women related to the pills at the moment, if there ever was, IMO.

Bits of red are good. If you want to get married and have kids, it's best to get that going sooner rather than later. The blue advice of "You go gurl" and DIVORCE HIM is really unrealistic for building a happy, stable family and screams female entitlement. Almost no woman can really have it all.

The RP advice has been pretty one-sided in the reverse as well. Never give an ultimatum, never make waves, they stop like 1" shy of never express anything but perfect contentment with whatever your man wants or does. That's not how to be happy with your relationship, either. Sometimes you have to fucking talk about shit and say "Hey, this happened and you had a part in it, and I'm pissed." Both tend to leave out the next step, though, which is "How do we fix this TOGETHER."

Real life is messy and there's no cure-all. I can tell you there's some things I raise my voice about and dig my heels in, but I play those cards really sparingly. I've left guys whose goals didn't align with mine and generally was pretty happy being single for a long stretch cause all my options were worse than doing my own thing. And that was ok for me. And, if I'm being totally honest, I think most people should have a way out JUST IN CASE your partner got like, brain damage and did a 180 and got violent or legitimately abusive. But NEVER use it unless you are 100% sure you want to be single for the rest of your life. Nothing is a guarantee and finding a better relationship is included in that, so be realistic about the consequences.

Figure out what you can personally compromise on and what you can't. Find someone who lines up with a lot of those and you like the sex. Learn when and how to compromise. Keep your temper in check. Try to be generous. Cuddle early and often, even when you're annoyed with them. Etc etc etc. Know that you're not perfect but neither is your partner, and look at mistakes with sympathy but be firm on your boundaries.

In my own life, I can tell you there's a handful of conditions I'd consider leave my current SO over, but they're rare, and it would have to be a repeated issue that wasn't being addressed. I don't do excessive anger/violence, I don't do substance issues, those are two of my big ones. I have never raised a hand except in self-defense, so the minute he hit me I'd be gone, and while it would be tough, I know I could do it if absolutely necessary--but I don't want to. I can't speak too much for him but I know cheating/infidelity is the biggest one he'd walk out immediately over. Besides that, a handful of things crop up during our daily life but overall even during our fights we don't lose sight that we're a team and we often put each other's best interest above our own. No name-calling, no insults, no passive aggression, and as little grudges held as both our bull-headed-ness can muster. Our fights, when they do happen, are quick and clean.

Not really, it’s basically run by men. The basic advice of be feminine and keep your n-count low is pretty solid but the rest is too conservative. Just like TRP they are basically pedalling a trad-con nostalgia fantasy about a world that never existed.

Imo people forget that it is people on the internet that know nothing about you giving advice. Advice can help a lot when deciding. But in the end you should do what you think makes you happy. They don’t know what that is and can’t tell you. It’s the same for all pill subs.

Guy here. I was very hopeful when I ran into RPW. But I agree with what some other ppl said. It’s basically the same trad-con nostalgia of a world that never existed. Basically religious conservatives, either from the US or from countries where their husbands just recently allow them to go on the Internet.

The whole “captain” or “leader” thing reminded me of when I was taking ballroom dancing. Our dance instructor was a woman, and she was all like, “Men, you are the leader.”

Idk, I grew up in a house where my father was very dominating and controlling towards my mother. My mother was basically his slave/prisoner. During my rehearsal dinner before my wedding, he tells me and my wife, “You’re the captain now.” And, I politely cringed and rejected that idea. You don’t have to control and dominate your partner to be a leader. I want a partnership, not some captain/follower situation.

Although, I do remember going to a BDSM dungeon one time for Halloween. This couple there was totally into that. The girl wouldn’t speak at all! Then, it was getting weird, and the guy was like, “You can speak.” She was a fucking analyst at Goldman Sachs. My wife and I were thinking, “Girl, what the actual fuck is wrong with you? You can speak? You voluntarily stay silent until your man gives you permission to speak?”

I guess it’s probably part sexual fetish for some of these women to crave those kinds of relationships with men. That’s the thing, you either learn “bad examples” from your fucked up family situation, or you learn that your fucked up family situation was a “bad example.”

I can see guys growing up in my house and normalizing or accepting the relationship my parents had as a totally normal male/female relationship. They are looking for a domestic servant, not a partner. They are looking for a woman, not another human being who just happened to be born female. Woman is less than man in his mind.

I can see girls growing up in my house and normalizing and accepting my parents’ relationship, and mistaking guys who are normal and respectful as “weak.” That’s cool with me, because it obviously wouldn’t work out for either one of us. Man is more than woman in her mind.

I stopped following RPW, because it was getting too Handmaiden’s Tale for my taste.

Firstly... It’s the only sub that I’ve found that tells women to lose weight if they want to be attractive and I, for one, appreciate that they don’t mince their advice. Even advice that isn’t sweet and comforting.

Most of the women are pretty respectful, helpful and practical (as opposed to the bulk of the bitter/angry populous on other subs with take me as I am even I’m a total tosser attitudes).

Some of the advice moves from discouraging a woman from being domineering (good) to encouraging her to be a doormat (bad) but the info on there is certainly more useful than the stuff on any other sub when it comes to attracting men.

I have openly said on the sub that I’m no RPW; I face no censure. My sexual choices are disapproved of, sure, but that’s their prerogative. No one is out there judging or harassing posters and commenters.

Like. Someone on here commented about it being overrun by foreigners - so xenophobic wtf. None of that bs on RPW.

PS I don’t want a Captain but I do like advice sometimes and I stumbled onto RPW and found some good advice.

For the most part, yeah. Or at least they did. Except they give the vibe that they think men want them to literally act like second class citizens which isn’t the case either. They banned me out of the blue on one of my other accounts for giving my input as man pertaining to what RP men want in a girl (not against the rules). It was well liked, then deleted and naturally I WTFd the mods and I was banned and they said something cunty that I couldn’t respond too. It was super lame, and I liked that account at the time.

I stopped reading RPW and I got a partner. A masculine conservative guy, which is what RPW browsers dream for (I think?). All I have done is be myself and he fell in love with my personality (my looks drew him in though). And I am NOT what most RPW would recommend lol. I am a big goofball and I have dark, kinda savage humor. Same humor as him. Not a total girly-girl. I curse and I jokingly call him a nibba, as he does the same to me.

All I took from RPW was making myself more feminine and staying on top of my fitness, which yes, it has helped. That nagging issue doesn't exist between my partner and I because he advocates for solid communication. He likes to listen to me. Even if I am upset and I want to rant, he'll listen and say "I agree with you baby, it's your right to be mad" instead of arguing with me like my exes have "maybe you are in the wrong blah blah, don't be like that, etc". He knows that a woman just wants her man to listen.. for that I am grateful. I think RPW would be against this, yeah?

I'm too strong minded for it to directly apply to me. Instead i follow a 5 to 1 ratio of positive interactions vs negative ones. So I don't need to STFU and be perfect all the time
