Can someone explain where the idea that women want to date men for free meals came about? I see it satirized on TV all the time - the poor hapless male protagonist goes on a dating app and schedules a date, only for the woman to clearly only be interested in the food ("Master or None" and "The wedding year" from the female perspective comes to mind).

It seems like total fiction to me and I'm shocked people believe in this. Or maybe it's a way for unattractive men to cope with the fact that a woman didn't find him attractive enough for anything beyond an initial dinner date?

None of the women I know would even spend a minute of time with a guy they find unattractive regardless of the food, let alone spend an hour or two across from a dude just so she could eat free food.

But I'm from an upper middle class background, so maybe I'm missing something? It would be inconceivable for any woman in my social circle to waste her time on a man just so she doesn't have to pay for or make dinner.

So is this a myth perpetuated by unattractive/unsuccessful men or are there destitute women out there who need food so badly that they're willing to schedule a date to eat??

So, my FB thinks my neighbor Greg is a creep. My eyes were opened last night, and I think this is actually pretty general about some men.

I decided to blow up my home office & rearrange, back to a standing deck with a sitting option, with a white wall behind me that may come to serve as a green screen.

It was about 8....I had a pretty good buzz...I wasn't moving fast, but I was still moving. Greg knocks, I let him in, hey how's it going, and yeah my place is a wreck. He just sits on the couch, drunkenly blathering away.

I ended up clearing my side of the couch and sitting down, because I was pretty close to done, but not yet done, so whatever. Yeah, I could have kicked him out, but my point is that it didn't even seem to cross his mind that this might not be a good time.

Then it came time for video entertainment. Previously, he dropped off like 25 movies I neither asked for nor wanted. Good movies, too, for the most part, stuff like Blade Runner & the Ocean's series & the Wolf of Wall Street. I just don't give a shit. I'd rather watch a long form Steve Bannon interview on Frontline, sue me.

I'd have preferred to play video games, as I have both a backwards compatible PS3 and a X-box 360, but he insisted on watching a movie.

Of course, I could have kicked him out, but I was pretty drunk by then, and to be quite honest unsure we'd be capable of playing at a fun level. Still, point is, he didn't seem to get that I have 5 movies for a reason, that I don't particularly care for movies.

It was a battle to land on Syriana, literally the only one I (was and no longer am) slightly interested in. To top it all off, he started jumping every punchline in a really annoying way, and by that time I was pretty fucking annoyed and he finally picked up on it & took off.

Anytime me and my boys plan Group vacations to different cities/states/countries we going there primarily trying to get new pussy. Like “sight seeing” and landmarks is secondary lol. Our last boys trip to LA(we live in Florida) in 2019 I ended up smashing this cute chick who worked at a record store 2 or 3 times(we still talk from time to time). One of my guys smashed 4 in that one week including his first 3 some.

I remember being at a bar with an acquaintance And 2 of my boys like 8 months ago. The acquaintance was telling us how he went to DR for 2 weeks. I asked him so “did you meet any girls, how many girls you knocked down?” He was like none.

I was like “let me get this straight, you’re telling me you were in the Dominican Republic for 2 weeks and you ain’t get NO ass? All those fine Spanish chicks and nothing?”

He was like “nah bro, I just went to the beaches and bars”. I was like “there’s girls there at the beaches and bars though”. At that point he kinda froze and you can tell he was embarrassed or ashamed. The best way I could describe the feeling was the poker scene in the 40 year old virgin with Andy after he said “Bags of sand” lol. I honestly felt bad. One of my friends tried to throw him a bone and change the subject. For the record he’s not married and has no Gf, so the whole maybe he wasn’t trying to cheat doesn’t apply. Dude is a 28 year old single man in his prime.

It’s not just guys, girls when they go on these “girls trips” they tryna get dick. The difference is It’s just not socially acceptable for them to say it out loud. When you fuck 2 guys on vacation you have it make it seem like “it just happened” and he “swept you off your feet” instead of that being the plan the whole time lol. It’s funny of all the women I’ve slept with in my OLD “career”, I would say anywhere from 25 to 40% have been on vacation. Either from another country or another state.

So tomorrow marks 32 years of life for me on planet earth. I can't tell you how it's been on any other planet (because then I'd have to kill ya), but so far, it's been funny... a big funny mess...... a big, fun, funny mess. I spoke with some family and friends recently and I noted how it seemed like we've gotten older but haven't changed that much. It only seems like a few years ago that we were all running around the neighborhood and enjoying life as a kid with no responsibilities. It seems like responsibilities and aging bodies are all that changes in life. At least for me anyway.

If you went up to 100 guys and was like

“Whatever girl you are crushing on right now(Cindy at your job, Rachel at your local Popeyes, your sisters best friend etc) you can smash her right no questions asked just pay 300 dollars” How many of them would you say would take that deal?

For the sake of the argument, there’s no foul play, he’s not getting arrested or robbed and the money isn’t going to break him. It’s not like pay this and you can’t pay rent this month.

I only ask because I remember in a discussion on prostitution the debate was even if it was 100% legal, how willing would men be to pay for sex with women they’re attracted to. Dudes for example are paying to see pictures of women’s buttholes or dropping hundreds at strip clubs for women they’ll never penetrate lol. Why wouldn’t they pay for the actual sex?

Death threats have become so much of a buzzword these days to make things seem way more serious than they actually are.

Like you see so many journalists and media using the phrase to just draw attention and blow things out of proportion for clicks and views. The bar for recieving death threats its super fucking low. Recently my lovely country passed a law that make it possible to evict a person from their own flat for 14 days based on a domestic violence report. A police officer that was informed and came to check what happened can do that on the spot, they have ALL THE POWER. No trial, nothing. Even a total stranger you came home with after a party can do that. There's no need to be in any kind of relationship and the "victim" does not need to have any rights to your flat.

I was watching a YouTube video earlier, which centred around someone having to write a college admissions essay on the subject of "distinctive aspects of your background, personal development, or intellectual interests".

Dear US college admissions administrators,

There are no distinctive aspects of my background, personal development, or intellectual interests. I’ve merely achieved the academic grades that are required in order to attend your pathetic institution.

Now are you going to fucking let me in, or not? I am not going to sit here and pretend that I’m an interesting person from a culturally diverse background. I’m not. Why would I be trying to get into Harvard if I was an interesting person? I’m not an interesting person, I have no desire to become an interesting person. I just want to go to fucking college.

Is that too much to ask? Why does everything in life have to be such an unending chore? We’re all going to die anyway, and you’re going to die well before I do, so what does it matter? Just let me in, or fucking don’t let me in. Don’t ask me to lie to you in order to get in! What conceivable purpose does this serve?

I could perhaps understand it if attending your crappy college had some tangible value. You know, I might be willing to jump through a few hoops and get my nose brown under those circumstances. But the only thing that you can guarantee me is substantial debt.

But if you insist, I’m quarter-Nigerian, quarter-Bolivian, quarter-Danish, and quarter-Eskimo, I came out of the womb in a wheelchair, and I literally spend every waking moment fraternising with people from every conceivable minority group, and every culture except my own. Naturally, my own culture just isn’t diverse enough for my liking.

Even though she asked him out, she still expects him to pay. I have suspected for a long time that the women here who claim that "whoever asks out should pay" are just using it as an excuse to make men pay. At the end of the day, (in general) women just want men to pay. Not a single person in that thread brings up whoever asks the other person out should do pay - so it doesn't sound as much like "conventional wisdom" as the women here would like to make it seem.
