Not necessarily, during the syphilis outbreak, a lot of married women had syphilis which their husbands brought through their "recreational activites" and a lot of babies would be born blind as a result of syphilis or gonorhea being passed on to the child.

neither are prostitutes. The words "company" and "sex" are pretty much used interchangeably, bc sex is promoted as a cure to loneliness, and lack of sex is also assimilated with loneliness. That's why people either tell men to find a wife or go to prostitutes if they feel down. Actually both the marriage market and the sex work industry gives them unlimited access to female energy, which they crave.
In fact, with sugaring it started blurring the lines even more btw hetero relationships and prostitution.
So yeah, sex isn't the only thing that men want, it's more its significance: domination and power. The act of penetration itself is often an act of conquering for men.

I mean, marriage was literally like slavery for women for a long time. They couldn't even choose their husbands and were sold to a man twice their age by their father. It was a contract btw a man and another man, and women were the product. They become their husband's property, which is why tehy take their name, and the auhtorities rarely intervene in cases of domestic violence bc they do'nt want to infringe on another man's territory (his wife and kids)

heu..?! Look at the statistics of domestic violence and rape within het-couples. Tons of women die everyday as a result of getting beat up by their husbands.

Before people get all up in arms, prostitution i don't consider prostitution inherently degrading. And people who claim that I try to make them feel bad, your feelings aren't my issue. Idc.
