New Moderation Policy regarding "Trolls"

I'd just want to say that it should be applied judiciously by the mods in terms of antagonistic redditers and obvious trolls. We don't want the reddit style hivemind phenomenon to get even more pronounced because nobody wants to risk challenging the status quo.

This is a terrible idea because it still succumbs to what people subjectively think is trolling. This place is becoming more like metanarchism everyday. Just let the downvotes handle it.

What about users who knee-jerk with the "Feminist!" to ~~any woman~~ anyone who disagrees? I've seen it now not just applied to me, and one person in particular (Guy51234) refuses to stop. I've "manned up" (pardon the phrase) and put on my big-girl panties since my self-post a few weeks back, so if you don't think the situation applies, that's fine too, but as long as we're on the topic of dealing with trolls...

Edit: I can provide citations upon request, though it may take a few hours.

Second edit: Removed gender from the equation as it's largely irrelevant. My point is that I am clearly neither a feminist nor a man-hater (as the people who were astute enough to check my comment history saw), and it's not just ad hominem but empirically false ad hominem to claim so.

Also, moderators from antagonistic subreddits will be receiving their own flair in the coming week, indicating their status. This will include the subreddits: r/feminism, r/feminisms, r/againstmensrights, r/shitredditsays, and r/anarchism. This is not a troll label, just an identifier. Many of the things they say have been valid criticisms for discussion.

I don't like this. If they aren't being tagged for trolling then the tag showing which subreddit they are from will only help to detract attention from their argument. Why should they need to be identified?

Also, I am glad the troll label can be appealed if necessary.

I don't like this development. The community is good at downvoting trolls and moving on as it is. There is no need for the mods to take on the extra work where the subjective nature of such judgements are likely to lead to conflict of opinions. We don't need this kind of 'anarchist' solution to our troll problem.

Legislating other peoples "feelings" is the very definition of a feminist solution.

We need ideas and the ability to address changing conditions rapidly. Limiting debate is risky and virtually never successful.

im against this mainly because i see people who get the flair are just going to get downvoted, regardless of what theyre posting. even the most dedicated of trolls cant help but contribute something worthwhile every now and then. and this could easily scare off people who agree with MRA for the most part but disagree with less prominent issues (circumcision comes to mind). this is the problem with feminism, where they assume that all women must agree with them and tow the line, and if they dont, then they must be "brainwashed by the patriarchy." every guy has some issue that affected them personally, either directly or indirectly, that led them to MRA. we shouldnt assume that everyone agrees with everyone on anything.

i understand that trolls are becoming a problem, but shouldnt this be welcomed? the fact that this subreddit is getting more scrutinized rather than just being mocked as usual shows that its making headway with people. gender feminists are getting scared, and are desperate for anything to discredit the movement. this subreddit should just continue as is. if trolls are identified, downvote as needed. i dont think this policy is a good thing at all.

What I find truly brain-numbing are the Poe's Law trolls, people who seem to genuinely want to help, but their ideas are so utterly incompatible with the MRM that they simply can't be taken seriously. I mean, I have some out-there ideas, but I'm not THAT out there. Like, indistinguishable from trolling, out there.
