So I’ve observed two things from a portion of men.

First, when a woman mentions her income, a lot of men will state that they don’t care about a woman’s income and aren’t attracted to it

Second, when a woman says that she’s independent, men subconsciously understand that it has a direct connotation with freedom (free is a synonym)

Men look at a woman’s income from their male perspective. They don’t value a woman’s money, therefore they don’t think a woman should value her money.

But the man can not understand that the woman doesn’t care if you don’t value her money. A woman will not let you demean her money because she values her money.

More specifically. She values the work that she put in to get that money. Because it gives her freedom. Women bring it up as a positive because as women, it is our greatest accomplishment as a sex, to be able to say that we don’t need a man. As a collective, but more importantly, as an individual. It’s an individual choice now.

For some men, a women having money is a negative

Money equals independence and independence equals freedom
