Do you think that male “pick me’s” (aka simps & white knights) on the Internet have caused dating to be much more difficult than it otherwise would be?

There are so many men online who lead with their wallets. Forget OnlyFans, many simps offer to send women money in their DMs just for existing. Simps who worship the ground that even the most (below) average-looking women with a terrible personality walks on.

Then you have the hordes of white knights (I call them male “pick me’s”) who excuse any bad behavior women do while shitting on guys who do the same thing.

Just look through the posts on many dating subs on Reddit. For example, a girl will ask a guy his height and say she doesn’t date men less than 6’ ft. and most users cheers her but the guy then rejects her for being “too short” and all of a sudden “how dare you” and that’s “misogyny”. So many guys on that sub & many other dating subs will defend a girl doing shitty behavior online and then crucify a guy for doing the exact same thing.

Many of these dating subs like r/Tinder have become infested with these pathetic male pick me’s.

Basically, simps overinflating girls’ egos (and sending them money just for existing), and white knights excusing/rewarding girls’ bad behavior.

I think this Internet phenomenon has made dating a lot worse, even for girls who generally find these sycophantic men pathetic as well. What do you guys think?

Edit: I did not mention the hordes of desperate men on dating apps because I think of simps and white knights generally having them covered. But I suppose simps & white knights are their own categories of desperate men.
