Generally i'd say we are judged for how we treat peole weaker than ourselves. Men are expected to be stronger than womem so shouldn't be getting bullied by them. Shouldn't be assumed but i think that's the reason.

I absolutely judge men on their behaviour towards anyone else. Particularly elderly, young children, other men and his family. If you are only nice to women, that feels disingenuous and transactional, and I will notice.

There's a flaw. A "creep" often times for men are simply men who are unattractive attempting to socialize. I'll give you an example.

I'm 6'4 and 29 years old. I grew up as tve fat, chubby kid and in my adult life, I topped off at 360 pounds. I'd approach and talk to women, in a respectful manner and I was labeled as creepy, gross and predatory.

I literally do the exact same thing, same demeanor, they way I talk/approach and I get numbers, sex, and women chasing me. The only difference is that I'm 210 pounds at abouy 11% body fat.

Now that's just the approach. With how I treat women now, I'm objectively mote cold, unavailable, and I'm not even nice anymore yet women will still treat me like a king.

Who cares what society views you as this and that. All you need to do is work on superficial aspects and you'll be spun in a positive light.

Women have historically been expected to be rejecting and discouraging of men in general because that was assumed the most reliable way to keep the oh so precious to men virginity. It remains as a cultural memory still enshrined in art, mythology and literature and still shapes our consciousness to some extent. The echoes of it are still loud in everything from Harry Potter shipping wars to how advertising material is presented.

I have every hope of Gen Z making some headway on this front but realistically speaking it will take a while...the very guys who crave the change most are those most reliably fighting to keep the wariness about women being around men meaning that she is careless about who she sleeps with.

If you wouldn't want a girl with half her friends guy friends she helps and supports but has never dated you are part of this. If you'd feel a pang of concern over the fact that back in high school before she met you your wife gave away her class ring to a male friend whose ring had been stolen, you are part of this. If you are walking down the street and see a smiling girl giving street directions to a guy pulled up at the curb and see it as him about to get lucky not her being a good person, you are part of this

What women who knowingly treat men poorly are seen as good people by general society? I’m sure there are some misandrists out there who praise treating men poorly because it’s fighting the patriarchy or some b.s. But keep in mind there also seems to be an increasing trend of men “putting women in their place.” For example

Edit: I recall Tomi Lahren’s rant on how most guys are boys and not real men getting mostly negative feedback. And I also recall most men and women being in agreement that it was bad when FDS was teaching it’s audience how to use men for free meals even after you’re no longer interested. I think these are both pretty good examples that women are not still seen as good people even if they treat men poorly.

The whole “Karen” phenomenon and accompanying viral video evidence refutes this. There are plenty of women who are reviled for the privileged and nasty way they’ve been seen to treat men (service employees, laborers, tradesmen, etc.) they deem beneath them.

This isn't a popular outlook at all. A woman who treats men badly is seen as a nasty woman. Maybe even more so than a woman who treats other women badly. See how beserk everyone goes when a woman says something slightly mean to a man that would be fine to say to another woman. And of course men who are bad to other men are seen as bad.

Yes, there is an equivalent of the nice girl. I've met plenty of incel women. Men deserve respect too without constantly having to pander to selfish women. We should all be judged on how we treat everyone. Women aren't special just for being women. They can be just as selfish and superficial as men (if not more). Why is treating women poorly considered bad or creepy but treating men poorly is glamorous and laughed at? You are obviously one of those nice girls who thinks men should beg over you. You can't just expect to be respected if you show no respect for others. That goes for men and women. This is why I choose to stay single. Women today are highly selfish and superficial.

I can't really surmise what you're saying because it doesn't really make sense but I'll do my best.

I think women are generally socialized to be nicer and more agreeable to everyone, whereas men can and often do get away with being, at best, vaguely polite and at worst, cold towards strangers.

Women have a common saying amongst each other, that you can tell a 'good man' because he is kind to those who he isn't trying to sleep with or get something from (i.e. waiters, children, animals, etc).

I think women are judged far more harshly for anything that isn't overly kind and friendly, i.e. "resting bitch face" just because society is used to women who are generally nice to everyone. Nobody says a man has "resting asshole face" because men don't have to put on a show of being friendly towards everyone, all the time. He can simply exist however neutrally he wants in public spaces with no expectation of overt kindness towards others.

Not saying that men aren't often kind and friendly, they are. I'm saying they aren't expected to be at all times.

I agree that there are these stereotypes in society. A man protects a woman and children. A woman protects children. Children are protected. The criminal in the film may kill other men for money, but only when he slaps his wife is he considered morally incorrigible. Because women, children and pets are innocent and defenseless creatures according to these stereotypes.

But I don't follow those stereotypes too much myself, not even in my imagination. When someone says a good man, I imagine a man who has his own solid moral compass to follow. The woman has nothing to do with it. And when someone says gentleman or knight, I imagine a man fighting and living according to gentlemanly or chivalric rules, women are only marginally related.

First, I think we need to define a clear difference between good and bad morally and good and bad socially. They aren't the same.

The creepy guy who makes women uncomfortable by hitting on them is largely not morally evil (unless he is like getting off on making women uncomfortable which has to be extremely rare.) He's socially bad and that's really not some huge judgement as all of us commit social mess ups from time to time. The female equivalent of this is the tease.

As for the rest, women are presupposed to be kind to women, animals, children, the othered, the weak, and the vulnerable. The people who can do nothing for us. That is quite an imposition on our time, minds, and heart as much as it is an honor. To fail to be constantly agreeable and servile makes us bad women. Men are included in this, they just have to be a specific kind of man. And they aren't receiving help because they are men, but because they are weak.

And we still don't get away with treating men poorly unless he is perceived as a valid threat (see dating). That's reasonable more or less by both social and moral standards.

Men really aren't judged so much for their treatment of children, the elderly, the infirm, the weak, the vulnerable in a societal sense. It's allowed for you to ignore someone hurting. You may not get a gold star for it, but the penalty is low if it exists at all. They really aren't even expected to help or take care of women at this point outside of some cultures. Mostly, men are totally allowed to look out for number one.

Men are judged by women for how they behave in dating. But not by society. Seriously, Men are so fine with the shitty behaviors of each other and so dismissive of it that almost anything short of rape or sexual slavery gets a "well, she should have known". Women aren't society. We're the people you're damaging so of course we say you're bad.

If you think of a evil men, yes probably the first thing that comes to mind is a misogynist but at the ame time, someone who is rude to people he think beneath him, who is obsess with power and money, and that is a loner. I don’t think the stereotype of a bad men is jut linked to women.
