Men make up the vast majority of mass shooters, but men also make up the vast majority of people who protect women and children from them, either by literally shielding them or by risking their life to subdue the shooter.

She is not technically wrong. I would point out that men have different mental illnesses than women and respond in different ways. Also, I would note some women are just as violent as any man, though they are less likely to commit mass murder and other acts of extreme violence they can be as violent or even more so in the day to day.

Note that it is not reasonable to connect it to men as a group, though more men do it than women. In the same way, it is not reasonable to connect theft to black people though more black people do it than women. It is normally not caused by their gender, but by the individual and their circumstance.

If she is unwilling to grant that, might be best to slowly back out of the relationship.

Women don't commit mass shootings because they are taught they are irreplaceable and not disposable. If you're raised to believe you should die for others based on your gender, you probably will have a lack of self -preservation. Mass shooters usually believe they're going to die, hence why its male dominated.

Women commit crimes that usually wont get them killed because they want to live no matter what. Same reason they change their morals to suit the invading and conquering villains in their own country; survival of the self no matter what.

If someone you really care about sits you down and calmly tries to have a discussion with you about an issue, aren't you more apt to listen? It could very well be "men + violence". But I'd ask why. Is it men? Or is it violence? If it's both, why do those men choose to use violence? Saying X+Y just complicates matters by introducing more variables. The variables might be relevant, or they might hide the underlying issue.

If it's men who are violent, why do these men become violent when the vast majority of men don't? I fail to see how this isn't a reasonable question.
