Traditional woman, here. They don't pick us. They find us boring or get frustrated with us when we don't put out. But also bitch about and slut shame "modern women" who do put out. You can't win.

Based on my own unfortunate experience in that kind of relationship the answer is no. For men like that "the traditional girlfriend" sounds great in theory but it becomes an issue when the traditional stuff is inconvenient to what he desires at any given moment.

I'm not traditional anymore, but I was raised in a traditional Christian environment with the more "old-fashioned" gender roles until late teens. I didn't see any guys like this. It was all family trips and Church-related socializing. Thirst traps, gym, and all this? No chance. Many women in my trad circle would have considered it sinful at most (vanity, lust-motivated, ego-driven), or just plain incompatible / undesirable at least.

Many women in trad circles are looking for men who seem like they have strong marriage potential and who seem family-oriented. What use is a husband or father if he's very much into flexing on social media and gym?

I'm not actually traditional myself, however I do like learning a lot about it and taking purely fashion advice from traditional women in my attempts to look less like a prostitute with the style I developed as a teen. So I can't help but encounter what kinda lifestyle, and in that what kinda husbands, they want.

First off, I think what those kinda men really want is a housemaid they can fuck, not an actual traditional woman. Because they tend to not be into... well, that kinda "hedonism" that I personally have no issues with indulging. They want stability and a man who can protect them and make mature decisions. Traditional women need men who are willing and capable to make most of the difficult life decisions, as their own role is to be in charge of the household and childrearing, the husband's role is gonna be all the financial decisions. And like this is what was expected of men back in the day when traditional marriages was the norm.

And with that said I think what traditional women want is traditional men, ie attractive men who are modest, hardworking and family focused, a leader type who has his shit together. Seems like a lot of guys are missing that point, that in order to attract a traditional woman, they first gotta be traditional men. And there's just nothing traditional in making thirst traps and going to emo concerts. That does not give the impression of being a hardworking leader able to make difficult financial decisions to support a family.

This warped idea of traditional marriage as some kinda porn fantasy of the wife just doing everything around the house and being sexually submissive while all the man does is... I dunno, working at Starbucks, is just not what actually traditional people want or value, and it's nit going to work in favor for either partner in a practical sense either.

To clarify I have no issues with people being traditional and wanting that sorta relationship dynamic. It can absolutely be functional and equal in its own way, for people who simply have those kinda needs and those kinda personalities. I just don't want it for myself because I'm just not that kinda person. I'm not that feminine. I'm more of a tomboy type, aside from how I dress. So I do my own thing while supporting traditional people doing their own thing.

So I do support traditional women finding the kinda men they want, because it does make logical sense that if you wanna be a stay at home mom, you need a damn reliable man you can actually count on and who respects your hard work at home, because without that you'd be at a huge risk of being exploited by a lazy dude who just wants everything served to him while he goes out on concerts, or a man who expects you to be modest but then he goes around posting shirtless pics online. No wonder he's single. He has not figured out how to actually attract the type of women he wants. He seems to basically both wanna have the cake and eat it.

They don't usually use traditional to mean Amish. They're expecting women to follow orders and do housework but she can be into whatever kind of music she likes and they can meet on an app or whatever.

I think men who decide that they want a "traditional" woman either got burnt out with wrong types of women they used to chase, or, what's more likely the case, watched way too much content where the modern woman is pitted against a traditional woman, and both women are strawmanned to unreal levels. Thus, they conclude the modern woman is the worst thing that can happen to a man - she is "run through", judgemental, argumentative, and overall never happy, where the trad woman is none of these things ever. As such, these men absorb the message that they can only have a happy relationship with a trad woman.

To answer your question though, no, they may think they want these types of women, but they are very incompatible. The trad woman will probably want him to DIY the entire house, have family around on weekends, have a few kids and require him to provide for them... and all the other non-fun adult stuff that will take away from his bodybuilding and emo music. He either needs to admit to himself that these hobbies will take a backseat in a trad marriage, or face it that he will be much happier with a woman who doesn't demand much from herself as a wife but won't demand much from him as a husband either.

It's not inherently incompatible.

There are emo christian bands out there. Traditional and religion tend to go hand in hand.
