What's base level attraction? Looks? Honestly as long as you look presentable and you take care of yourself, you already have the foot in the door for many women. The thing that's gonna let you in is your personality.

You can't turn a hard no into a yes, but women's attraction isn't binary like that. Many women are simply indifferent, neither repulsed nor attracted. And that's where game lets you go in the green.

This mindset really lends itself to absolving any responsibility and just chalk everything to "welp she just wasn't interested to begin with!" And that's just not accurate in most cases.

Whenever women say looks don't matter I used to laugh. It is such a fallacy. We have 2 eyes for a reason. That is why every dating app or site makes you upload photos. To be sure for some women it isn't as important as say personality. But there has to be some level of attraction. Rizz and game will only go so far.

But I will argue to my grave (as a short, skinny, average joe no less) that behavior is FAR more powerful than guys think. Most women value attractive behavior much more than attractive looks in my experience. Most guys just aren’t good enough at game / or have attractive enough behavior to find that out

You need the girls undivided attention in the first place before you can consider 'attraction'. It's simple-minded to think that ANYONE can make a woman feel sexual, aroused, while she's emotionally closed off and distracted by whatever. You place a 'better looking' man in the exact same position and the same shit will happen.

It might seem foreign to you but women need a baseline of emotional comfort before they'll consider opening their legs. Similarly, for all the guys saying they want to fuck, when they don't even have the capacity to conduct an animated conversation; the reality between the people 'thinking' about sex and the people actually fucking physically relaxed to that being a real possibility, is two starkly different things.

Guys like to think that if a woman approached them they'll just say "yes" but if that randomly happened at a moment that you're, tense, uncomfortable, stifled, distant, far away from being able to 'PERFORM RIGHT NOW' you will instinctively say "no". It's not attraction, the girl; you would've emphatically said "yes" in a different situation but knowing full well you have to uphold your end of the deal, it goes further than "She didn't have enough game, bro".

I know, I've been in that situation a lot of times. I go on to think about it later when I'm in a different state and I would've made different choices but I didn't. I didn't because I wasn't 'ready' and there's no convincing me you're walking around in a present, receptive, responsive state all the time and wouldn't have done the same. So yeah, you could be the most 'attractive' person ever but it requires a willing participant; truth is a lot of people are dazed out and running dialogue in their head, they aint ready to fuck.

It’s almost like applying for a job in a way and looks are almost like your “resume”. If you don’t have the prerequisites for a woman with really high standards it doesn’t matter how well you “interview” or how much game you have.

Much to the disappointment of many men Apple is not looking for a college dropout with a 10 year tenure at McDonalds and a 9 has no desire to date a fatty who has a decent level of charisma.

To the same point some people interview themselves into jobs they really weren’t qualified for and those stories stand out because they are rare. Definitely happens all the time though in dating and in the professional world

Agreed. Most important thing is be realistic in who you approach and know your league. I live by the plus/minus 1 rule. So if you're a 6 guy, go for women in the 5-7 range. No higher or lower.

The very concept, though, of “base” attractiveness is problematic. If someone sees an ugly personal not knowing anything about them, their initial attraction will be low, then they might after the fact find out they are famous and rich and smart and funny, and then be attractive. Here we would link base attraction with looks. But what of someone whose reputation precedes them as rich and famous, but the women haven’t seen yet? Likely enough they will be attracted without seeing them, so the base attention is linked to their status.

This is a wholly untrue post but I don't have the patience to type out why you're wrong.

You have to just read the fucking mystery method, go into the field, try it, and see it for yourself.

Attraction can ABSOLUTELY be created when it wasn't there before. A LOT of the time. Especially when you display certain traits/qualities and separate yourself from all the other chodes out there.

But there are so many dudes on this forum hell bent on this deterministic bullshit. I'm not going to argue with it because it's tiring. Literally just go settle for whatever you can if that's what you believe. You have to be motivated to become a better person for it to work, and the majority of men on here are not.

False. Attraction and desire are emotional states, that originate in the nervous system, which anyone is capable of experiencing at any time, regardless of the physical shape of their body. And like all emotional states, they can become linked through neural association with literally anything. For example a few women who have fallen in love with and gotten married to inanimate objects like the Eiffel Tower, the Berlin Wall, a garden rock, the ghost of a pirate, and a dolphin.

All it takes to evoke an emotional state in someone is to guide them through visualizing a memory where they felt that emotion in the past. Or describing to them what the emotion feels like. Just like how you can experience any emotional state by doing the same to yourself. Hell, go read a book or watch a movie, you'll experience dozens of emotional states that the storyteller has designed for you. Ever fall in love with a character in a book or movie who doesn't even exist? Take the men who have gotten married to fictional anime characters. They're attracted to them and they're not even real, just figments of their imagination. It is possible to become conditioned to feel attraction and desire for literally anything.

Given that women are less influenced by the shape of a man's physical body than men are to women's bodies, that makes it even easier to influence them if you're not good looking.
